The Surgeon General isn’t just a figurehead; he or she manages the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, which has 6,700 (or so) health professionals. The current Surgeon General started a software company and also “served as the president of Doctors for America, a non-profit organization comprised of more than 16,000 physicians and medical students in all 50 states who work with patients and policymakers to build a high quality, affordable healthcare system for all.”

So even if he didn’t stab someone in anger, he’s now capable of it?
I don’t see that as an improvement.

Reagan was a senile old fool. I’m not going to consider that a plus.
