Someone wake up Dr. Ben Carson, Pres-elect may have a gig for him ..

Sayeth the Great Leader:

You heard it here, “greatly talented”. Tremendous.

At least when you see those property signs saying ‘Vacant’, you’ll know who they refer to.

So he’ll give the post to Carson and leave it open. An empty taxi comes up to the White House and Carson gets out… the jokes write themselves.

Carson has already gone on-record as saying that he isn’t interested in serving in Trump’s administration, as he doesn’t have “government experience.”

Let that sink in.

This at least keeps Carson away from where he could do most damage - science policy & education.
Although, who am I kidding - it’s not as thought Trump is going to put anyone in charge of science or education who’s any more ignorant than Carson anyway.

Yeah, one of the Republican candidates for President has rejected a post in Trump’s administration because he doesn’t think he has the experience necessary to take on a government role. Why the hell did you campaign for the job from May 2015 until March 2016 then, dude?

I predict an urban pyramid grain storage boom.

He was qualified for the presidency, just not the cabinet?

Brilliant, I’d forgotten about that.
Wistful memories of a happier time when we could laugh at the bigoted crazies, in complacent faith in the sanity of the US electorate.

He knows how to delegate. Remember the armed robber?

What do you mean? Sarah Palin is available! It’s just that she’s so much in demand for other important posts – State (because of how she can she Russia), Interior (because of how she knows that there’s an environment or something out there, which you can also see from Alaska), etc.

Bill Maher was a bit skeptical, pointing out that Palin probably doesn’t even sleep indoors, but I think that’s a plus for someone in an environmental-type post.

Anyway, I’m sure that Palin is qualified, because I’m pretty sure that you can see some kind of science or education of some kind from Alaska.

He doesn’t think he was qualified for the presidency, either, it’s just that when initially asked about it, he was having one of his famous naps and didn’t quite get the question, so he mumbled “yeah, sure” before turning over and going back to sleep. The rest is history, wherein he was propped up on a podium in several presidential debates.

As an employee of said agency, I can find comfort in this by rationalizing that if he’s putting a big name in charge of it, then he probably doesn’t plan to try and close it.

Although I wouldn’t want to be in the Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity division; Trump could easily have a vendetta against them for the fines he had to pay in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

When he was asked about the grain pyramids, he said secular progressives were welcome to ridicule him. You have to respect that bipartisan gesture. Now we can all move forward in our respective roles, the ridiculous and the ridiculers, working together for the future of America.

Tokenism straight out of the Reagan playbook. “Hey, we need a black guy so they can’t call us racists.” At least Samuel Pierce had government experience and was qualified for the job. Why would you ask a retired brain surgeon to helm Housing and Urban Development? Because Carson is black and it has “urban” in the title.

Oh Christ, the old goat is getting HUD?

Carson would be good in charge of the Dept. of Nnnnnnnnnyyyyy-tolllllllllllll…

At least he won’t be in over his head if he gets this HUD post. I hope he has fun!
