There are some trial balloons about him running for Rubio’s Senate seat in Florida (Carson lives in Palm Beach, near Trump). The same things that killed his Presidential campaign would kill that one, too, though.
How are we going to get a “Being There” thing going if he quits politics now?

The Economist have already written up Carson’s exit, anticipating the inevitable (here).
They put it down to a degree of arrogance and ignorance of geopolitics. IMO both those things are true but they’re true of the other main candidates too.
I think he wasn’t crazy enough and certainly not angry enough to to the hardcore (and get enough quotes on the news), but too inexperienced for the establishment. So he fell through the middle.

They’re totally in favor of any and every party that hates gender equality, hates SSM, hates abortion, and believes in prosperity “Christianity” and barefoot cooking pregnant women.
It’s up to each party to decide whether to back these Biblical ideas and thereby gain Carson’s group’s blessing. Or not.
