Well, it’s better than working at a convenience store completely alone at midnight. Wondering if some jacked up crackhead will rob the place and kill you. There are menial jobs out there that suck the life and soul out of somebody much quicker than doing a few porn videos for a ridiculously rich white guy.
I always felt there’s something wrong when somebody works their butt off and their paycheck won’t even stretch to pay the basics. It’s a trap that’s almost impossible to escape from. You need money to quit and get a better job. But you wouldn’t quit the first job if they paid a living wage. People spend years and years in those shit jobs and never get ahead in life.
Sounds like she outted him because he worte an article in American Spectator making it sound like he was paying her as part of some sort of pro-life charity case, rather then for sexting with him.

As far as I could follow it, she has already made $1,500. I am not sure why you think she is going to make more, though, unless she continues to string him along and he continues to fall for it, which seems unlikely. The chance for blackmail is blown, and I don’t see what he can be sued for. Neither of them come out looking good from this.

I dislike Ben Stein quite a bit, and cheating on his wife does nothing to improve that perception, but the texts don’t seem that crazy.
He’s a person who decided to cheat on his partner, like countless people have done.
It’s not admirable but it’s not exceptional. It never occurred to me that he was some kind of moral icon, just the opposite in fact.
Wait - Ben Stein wrote Ludes? I love that book, it’s sitting on my shelf (and yes, apparently it’s by Benjamin Stein).
That’s just weird. How did I never know that he wrote it? I read it because I enjoyed the film version, which was called The Boost and starred James Woods.
