Okay, so far I’ve figured out how to bold, underline, and italicise. I know how to post a (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/forumdisplay.php?forumid=2) using vB code, and how to do different sorts of symbols.

One thing I’ve seen but can’t duplicate is the teeny text I’ve seen in some threads. It looks like a [sup]superscript[/sup] or [sub]subscript[/sub], but I don’t know how to duplicate it.

Can anyone tell me how that’s done? Is there an exhaustive list of vB codes?

Cool! My guess at the super/subscript worked after all! [sup] or [sub] (using these brackets = ) works just fine! I love the preview feature!

So what else can I do that I haven’t sorted out yet?

This explains everything you can do except the super/subscripts, but you seem to have figured that out already. You may also embed lists and bolding, etc internally, like below.

[li]Vegetables[/li][list=1]

[li]apples[/li][li]oranges[/li][li]pears[/li][/list=1]

Something else I learned on that thread is how to link to a specific post in a thread. This could be very useful.
