I’m starting to believe in zombies now.

This thread is perfect example of how culture and knowledge shifts over time.

The Bermuda Triangle was a big thing during my early teens. There were many books and documentaries in the 70’s & early 80’s.

I hadn’t thought about it again until this ship went down.

Turns out a lot of new books had come out in the intervening years disproving the theory.

That was news to me. I was relying on knowledge I acquired 30 years ago.

Watch out for pseudoscience from your childhood. It’ll bite you on your ass.

When I was in elementary school, I wrote reports (complete with bibliography) on UFO’s and the Bermuda Triangle.

Lawrence Kusche’s The Bermuda Triangle Mystery Solved appeared in 1975. I read it back then. It completely demolished any possibility of a death spot. That was before the History Channel even existed.
