Kind of a spinoff of the best 70’s song. I started off listening to You’re So Vain by Carly Simon, which led to Nobody Does It Better. And now I’m listening to all the Bond songs. Which one do you think is the best?
Live and Let Die, although I do like Adele’s “Skyfall”.
Goldfinger
There are other good ones, but Goldfinger is iconic, and Shirley Bassey could just belt out a tune.
You Only Live Twice
Goldeneye by Tina Turner.
Another for Goldfinger.
Goldfinger
Diamonds Are Forever
The World Is Not Enough
A View To A Kill
Sometimes I want to say “The World Is Not Enough” is my favorite, but “Goldfinger” and “Diamonds Are Forever” are just so damned iconic …and, of course, Shirley Bassey.
I’m still partial to the John Barry-written songs: From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, and Thunderball.
They’re all great, but I have to go with “Goldfinger.”
Oh, I do love Skyfall. Adele’s voice reminds me of Carly and Stevie. That fullness and huskiness.
Seriously? What’s wrong with you people?
OHMSS for both the score and for “We Have All The Time In The World”
Me also. This one should be a runaway.
“You Only Live Twice”, naturally. Followed closely by “A View to a Kill”, “Thunderball”, “Nobody Does It Better”, and “Goldfinger”. (With honorable mention going to “For Your Eyes Only”.)
The Bond theme music is way better than any of the songs.
Yes, the best Bond song.
Also true!
You Only Live Twice, followed by A View To A Kill. “Belt” and “iconic” do not “best” make.
A tossup between The Man With the Golden Gun by Alice Cooper and We’ve Been Expecting You, Mr. Bond by Blotto.
I’m reminded of the Frasier episode where the pianist at the bar could only play Goldfinger, and added the horns with vocal “wah wahs”. It was pretty amusing.
You Know My Name.
Live And Let Die
