I voted for eight songs (the most to date; appropriate given that it’s the year of my birth). Notably absent from my list is “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which won the best-song-ever poll but never really appealed to me that much.

“Love Hurts”-Nazareth
“Love To Love You Baby”-Donna Summer
“More, More, More”-Andrea True Connection
“Never Gonna Fall In Love Again”-Eric Carmen
“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”-Elton John and Kiki Dee
“(Shake, Shake, Shake)Shake Your Booty”-KC And The Sunshine Band
“If You Leave Me Now”-Chicago
“The Wreck Of Edmund Fitzgerald”-Gordon Lightfoot

Seven songs made my personal cut:
“Bohemian Rhapsody”
“Get Up And Boogie”
“Love To Love You Baby”

the following made the cut but are ranked lower for me
"Rock ‘N’ Me
“Shake Your Booty”
“Fly, Robin, Fly”

The Beatles also had a comeback hit, but I’m not familiar with it. I could give it a listen but I’m too busy and I want to get my vote out of the way.

Now off to the Syria thread and fighting ignorance.

I totally get where you are coming from in regards to BoRhap, too overplayed and was already in past polls.

I’m pleased to see Andrea True and Donna Summer also got your vote:D:D

Two very influential songs for me that really defined my life at the time:

“Love to Love You baby”, Donna Summers, and it’s got to be the long version. That song really got the girls going.

“Afternoon Delight”, Starlight Vocal Band. What could be better!

Fly, Robin, Fly - The Silver Convention
Convoy - C.W.McCall
Love to Love You Baby - Donna Summer
Silly Love Songs - Wings
More More More - Andrea True Connection
You Should Be Dancing - The Bee Gees
A Fifth of Beethoven - Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - Gordon Lightfoot

Love Hurts - Nazareth

As a matter of fact, I discovered only earlier this year that it was a cover. Great song and great cover, then.

Love To Love You Baby
Bohemian Rhapsody
Silly Love Songs
Got To Get You Into My Life
Rock ‘N’ Me

… are also good.

I did not vote for the song I’m named after. Dumb song anyway.

I’m guessing “Shannon”? I would also guess you voted for Queen and The Who?
