I’m looking for recommendations and personal observations regarding hard drive crypto software, specifically the kind that creates an encrypted “vault” or virtual partition which can be unlocked with a password. I’ve seen a few like PGP Disk and Cryptainer PE, but any other recommendations would be appreciated. Bonus points if it’s freeware, but I’ll spend the money needed to get a good secure product. I know Cryptainer LE is free, but the vaults are limited to 20 meg each which is a pain to deal with.
Email crypto is not really an issue right now. I’m just concerned about my laptop being stolen/lost with client data on it.
