Best duets

What, in your humble opinion, are some of the best male-female duet songs? My favorites are “Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off” and “Baby, You Got What It Takes.” Any other contenders out there?

A Fairytale of New York by Shane MacGowan and the late Kirsty MacColl.

Best duets: Damn near anything when one of 'em is Ray Charles.

Worst duets: Damn near anything when one of 'em is Julio Iglesias.

Those Louis Prima / Keely Smith duets were corny, but fun. “That Old Black Magic” is probably their best known duet song.

“A Rockin’ Good Way (to Mess Around and Fall in Love)” – Brook Benton and Dinah Washington

“Your Precious Love” – Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell (these two recorded at least a half dozen classic tunes, most of which were written by the husband/wife duo Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson). Runner up: “You’re All I Need to Get By”

“Reunited” – Peaches and Herb

“Mockingbird” – Inez and Charlie Foxx

Whoa- Johnny L.A.- I didnt know the “late” part about
Kirsty Mccoll. WHen was this?
