What do you think are the best episodes of 2017?

My nominees

Rick and Morty: “The Ricklantis Mixup.” Our Rick and Morty go to Atlantis and Morty gets mermaid puss, but we don’t see any of that, due to an intricately brilliant look at the Citadel.

The Good Place: “Dance Dance Resolution” spoilers if you haven’t seen episode 1x13 “Michaels Gambit” All the vaiations on Michaels fake good place were superb and some of the tightest comedy writing/visuals I’ve seen since Parks& Recreation left the air.

The ig Bang Theory - Sheldon proposes to Amy. My jaw dropped!

**Dirk Gently - Weaponized Soul ** For this scene mainly.

Legion - Chapter 8 This show was great and a few episodes could count, but I am putting the final episode in.

Best of the Worst - Wheel of the Worst #16 This is on Youtube, but I’m counting it. The final segment about the video “Edged Weapons” made me pause the video, weeping with laughter. I was convulsing. The first two videos were pretty funny, too.

Nathan for You, Finding Frances

I found the Life in Pieces Thanksgiving dinner segment funny enough to rewind and watch again.

The Thanksgiving episode of Bob’s Burgers was good. Sweet and funny.

**The Expanse - Home
**
I can’t get into it without spoiling it, so I’ll post the spoiler clip in a spoiler box. It was powerful TV, great acting, and had me in tears.

Major spoiler for the Expanse below.

I really enjoyed the James Cameron episode of “Future Man”, but possibly there’s some recency bias in there.

Graham Norton Show episode with Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian Mckellan was pure joy,

This story from Patrick Stewart was just one brief moment in an entire hour of fun.

Final episode of Godless was pretty awesome. As were all the others. Long form story telling is having a renaissance on Netflix.
The Handmaid’s Tale was the show I’ve enjoyed the most this year and of that I’d say episode one.

MiM

I’d also add “The Trolley Problem” from The Good Place to the ones you’ve mentioned. And, of course, “Michael’s Gambit” aired in 2017, too.

Last Spring’s finale of “Lucifer” was great.

Twin Peaks Season 3 Episode 8. If you haven’t seen this season, do yourself a favor and get the bluray. It was a true privilege to watch this creative genius and this particular episode I think is to television what Citizen Kane was to cinema.

Hell yeah. That, and I think it was the scene on the bridge, where everybody is just absolutely confused by everything going on.

:smack:

This was the episode of the year. No other episode need apply.
