Looking to replicate some of the foo-foo coffee drinks that the overpriced chains sell. The wife likes them [sub]yeah, the wife, that’s the ticket…[/sub]
I’m looking to pick up some Vanilla and Hazelnut syrup, so tell me - Which brand(s) are best?
I like Torani syrups myself. I first got addicted to them at my local coffee shop after I started working in their kitchens as executive chef. I have tried a large number of their flavors, both in coffees and other beverages (like Italian style sodas) and I also enjoy using them as flavorings for recipes (like in muffins). Works great all around. Bonusly, they also have several yummy sugar-free flavors as well.
You can buy them straight from the Torani website, and that’s probably about as much as you’ll pay for them anywhere (though I suppose with diligence you may find a better price, or a site that’s having a sale on the product).
Sometimes the coffee shops will be able to sell them to you. Some grocery stores sell them for a good price too. IIRC, my old warehouse style supermarket sold Torani for about $6. I really like the ones made by Allan Bros. Beanery, but that’s just an Oregon thing, I think.
