Of the downloadable, full-featured, multiplayer sort, preferably, not the PopCap type. But I’m open to all suggestions. BaboViolent 2 has burned me out, and I need something to play while I’m sitting at home waiting for the flaming shoe to drop.

I don’t know if it is still around, but Funcom used to offer a free MMORPG, Anarchy Online. It was fun for a while, but I honestly can’t recommend subscribing - too expensive for a fairly dated game.
And the True Combat: Elite mod for it.
