Best homecoming theme ever??? Under the Stars, Hollywood, Blast From the Past…no no no!
Crappiest theme: Cafeteria + disco ball. That’s what mine were.
I was in high school during Gulf War v1.0 and the theme for my junior prom was… Support Our Troops. That awful song “Get There If You Can” (or whatever it was called) was our theme.
I wish I were kidding.
Dust in the Wind. No wait, that’s prom.
My brothers prom (or maybe it was homecoming) theme was “Let’s get it on”
How they got away with that in such a conservative neighborhood I’ll never understand.
I think ours was “I had the time of my life”–whee. And one was “Never say goodbye.” I’m pretty sure, anyway. Can you guess when I went to high school?
A college friend did manage to convince her student committee to use “It’s the end of the world as we know it” for the senior prom theme (early 90’s). None of them had ever actually heard the song. She’s probably still gloating over that one. 
I think ours might have been “Make It Last Forever”. Ugh.
