Best/Most Respected Consumer Advocates

List the consumer advocates you trust, from the likes of Ralph Nader and David Horowitz down to fixtures in your local newspaper and news programs. In general, those with tenures measured in years and working in print are preferred, but a really good “Call Channel XX for Consumer Action” person is good, too. Folks who are outside journalism (or not journalism-centric) are good as well. Name the folks who you think do a good job on consumer advice.

Enough information to add them to a contact list would be helpful (even just clearly stating their name and affiliation).

Clark Howard is tops as far as I am concerned. Practices what he preaches. Has a syndicated radio show available in most markets, newspaper column, etc. His web site is somewhat helpful.

Wasn’t sure if it was a Question or an Opinionfest.

I also like him. Unlike Ralph Nader, he believes the best solution to most problems is a free market solution.
