It was spot on, unlike the emotionless response from the Starfleet transporter operator (which I think might have been provided by Gene Roddenberry himself), which you’d think should have been more along the lines of “Enterprise, we, we… <bleurghhhh>” or “DEAR GOD KILL IT!”.
Unless such accidents are so common and the operator has seen the aftermath so many times before that he considers this “just another one.” :eek:
While many do not consider The Voyage Home an “ill-received” film, I personally hate it. But it does have a good part: when Chekov finds his nuclear wessel, the awe in his voice when he says “And Admiral… it is the Enterprise” just makes you feel proud how much they respect and remember our “antique” ship!
