I’ve wondered before if there is a “best place” to buy Straight Dope books. I’ve enjoyed the Straight Dope for a long time, and when I plunk down the cash for a book, I want to be sure that as much of my money as possible actually gets to Cecil et al.
Does it make a difference where I buy one of these books? If I buy from this web site, am I doing more to support the Straight Dope than if I buy from Amazon.com (where it’s slightly cheaper) or not?

Whilst we would certainly appreciate it if you were to buy the books from the site (it helps us justify the site expenses), the important thing is to buy them from somewhere.
Then, after you have memorized them, you can stalk GQ putting links to Cecil’s columns where appropriate, further spreading the Gospel. There is great honor in being the first person to invoke a Cecil column in response to a question.
