Best showerhead?

I will be in the market for a new showerhead soon, so I figure I’d poll the teeming masses for recommendations.

I prefer the detachable hand-held type. I spotted this one from the Sharper Image that might be good.

Has anyone actually used a “self-pressurizing” shower head? Does it really work? Is it a continuous high-pressure spray, or does it pulsate to achieve it?

Good question. I have been wanting a high-pressure shower head for a while now. Mine has so little pressure that it takes forever for me to wash and rinse my long hair. This results in a lot of wasted time!!

My followup question would be, do all showerheads these days have some sort of water-saving device on them? Is there any way to get a shower head that is super-strong pressure, without the water-saver?

Anyone else loving that the good folks at Sharper Image have that one categorized “Men’s Personal Care” instead of the more obvious category?

Why not just buy a water proof vibrator?

Sorry…

Because WPV’s can’t multitask, silly! :stuck_out_tongue:

The only problem I can see in getting a high pressure dilly like that would be that you would also need someone to tile your ceiling or atleast waterproof it.

Try the Commando 450. Its got power!

Speakman Anystream is my personal favorite. I usually hate flow restricted shower heads but these seem to make the flow satisfactory without sacrificing water pressure.

Notice, however, that it’s a woman’s hand in the photo. :dubious:

Please note: that " :dubious: " was aimed at Sharper Image, not Queen Tonya.

I’ve been a fan of hand-held shower thingies for a looong time. Mine has adjustable sprays and vibrates. I call it Stanley.
Color me happy on days I have time for a long hot shower.

I was thinking this morning:

“There is no better showerhead than the Speakman Anystream 2000

Any head you get in the shower is the best shower head. At least, that’s what most guys say.

I just get one of those “elephant shower”, cheapo shower heads. You know the one that Kramer wanted, but they guy wouldn’t sell it to him because they were illegal.

There is a rubber restrictor thing that comes with it. You just ‘forget’ to put that in. If you have decent water pressure, you will feel like you are in a waterfall.

The drain will literally not be able to keep up.

I’m pretty pleased with my Oxygenics showerhead. It has a lever on the side that adjusts the amount of water that comes out, so you can go high-pressure only when you really need it. I don’t know if I buy some of the “rejuvenating” claims on the website, but strictly as a showerhead, it is pretty nice.

I have one of those “rainfall” showerheads, the ones with more jets and such… I’m wondering if one of those exists in the detachable form, with the hose and such? I’ve never seen one like that…
