Yes Minister.
I dunno. First Bush election I had a “No fucking difference” poster up. But now I think they’re a bit better. Hard to be worse.

I can relate. In 2000, I saw it as center-right versus center-left, no BHAD, prefer Gore, but not going to have a conniption fit over it. Haven’t been so wrong since I thought Hermann Hesse was deep.
Shhhh! You don’t want the SD to appear on the O’Reilly show as a hate site, do you? Oh wait, it worked out as a positive Kos…carry on.
There are differences between the parties which makes calling them “the same” not quite right. For example, it would appear the GOP is currently filled with crypto-fascists and Christian fundamentalists, appointing like minded individuals to important government institutions. So if you enjoy liberal social policies, college loans, benefits, birth control, etc. you want to stay away from the GOP.
As for foreign relations, the gap is much smaller, but it’s there. The GOP wants an empire but doesn’t have a clue how to do it. The Dems have roughly the same goals, but are smarter about it, and they care about the image of the U.S. to some extent. They use passive, under the radar means to extend U.S. hegemony, coupled with smaller military operations to show we’re still the tough guy on the block. They learned long ago that just sticking your entire dick into a meat grinder and hoping it’s not turned on is a bad idea.
Yes, I believe that lesson was called “Vietnam” and many of our conservative brethren appear not to have learned it.
Dems:
We have enough sense to pull our dicks out of meatgrinder.
Remember America?
Want it back?
