Best Songs To Have Sex To

Dammit, I forgot Prince - Sexy Motherf*****, I Wanna Melt With U

Adams is quotes as saying the song is Tunnel of Love

Make that a second on Carmina Burana…although I’d suggest “Tempus es iocundum” rather than the title track.

Orange Skinner and I made this list a while back.

  1. Dogs - Pink Floyd
  2. Rejoyce - Jefferson Airplane
  3. Echoes - Pink Floyd
  4. Nights in White Satin - Moody Blues
  5. Playground Love - Air
6._ Long, Long, Long - The Beatles
  6. All of My Love - Led Zepplein
  7. Don’t Let Me Down - The Beatles
  8. Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles
  9. Brain Damage/Eclipse - Pink Floyd
  10. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part One) - Pink Floyd

Yah, it was Tunnel of Love off the Making Movies album, which should make this list in its entirety, as should almost anything Mark Knopfler has ever touched.

The Pink Floyd album “Wish You Were Here” works well, also.

Or Dead Can Dance, maybe Towards the Within?

I’m out of shape, so I like slower music.

John Williams’s rendition of Dixie followed by John Phillip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever.

On alternate Thursdays: the 1812 Overture

Again, albums, not songs, but we’ve had good luck with some of Tori Amos’s stuff (the more bass- and loop-heavy material, like From the Choirgirl Hotel) and Radiohead’s The Bends.

The CD is Making Movies, eh? I’ll be at the record store tomorrow.

Mmmmmmmmmhm. Can’t get much better than From the Choirgirl Hotel, IMHO–driving, sensual beats, rich instrumentation, Tori’s amazingly sexy voice. And The Bends is a good ANY-time album really.

Bizet’s “Carmen” - everytime I hear it, I think of Duddley Moore trying to do it with Bo Dereck in “10”. Puts me in the mood, and it’s exactly the right ‘beat’

Ween’s “Spinal Meningitis (got me down)”

Sexxayy.
OK, seriously?

A third vote for Mezzanine.
PJ Harvey’s To Bring you my Love.
My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless
Dead Can Dance’s Spiritchaser

I once had sex to Type O Negative’s Bloody Kisses.

That was intense.

Loreena McKennit… most celtic music is pretty good.

I don’t think that I have ever used music; but exactly how does this work & why would it be better than say listening to your partner?

I suppose one would not choose “I
Heard it through the grapevine” ?

I Want You (She’s So Heavy) by the Beatles.

*In the Evening *
Led Zeppelin
Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing
Chris Isaak
*You Can Leave Your Hat On *
Joe Cocker
All Lovers Are Deranged
David Gilmour
Pride and Joy
Coverdale/Page
Emotional Rescue and Miss You *
Rolling Stones
As Wicked As It Seems
Keith Richards
No One Knows
Queens of the Stone Age
Wildflower
Cult

Oops… you meant one song, right? I’ll stop now, though my list is much much longer. In The Evening, though- that is my favorite.

(gee whiz, these are stripper songs and not very romantic, are they? and I’m a girl!!! What does that mean?)

takes cold shower

Much depends on the mood and the commpany, but I have very fond memories of Ofra Haza’s Kirya. Also, the Rustavi Choir. Actually, the new Jack Johnson album, which I have on right now, wouldn’t be half-bad (On and On). All these are on the mellow side, though.

Damn, now you’ve got my mind wanderig again…

Vote #1 for Van Morrison’s Moondance

any male vocal with a deep raspy voice and a slightly hypnotic beat

The Doors, Pink Floyd, some Meatloaf (only the cheesy stuff though!). Some Led Zeppelin. Mark Knopfler. Some Def Leppard. You get the general idea.

And my Thunderstorm CD by Solitudes. I don’t know why, but instead of putting me to sleep, it starts me up.

The 5th Element OST is pretty good too… particularly the opera/synth piece.

Okay, just picked up Making Movies. This, uh, should do nicely. The instrumental end of Tunnel of Love is really cool, and so are the volume swells on Skateaway. I also got myself Isaac Hayes’ Hot Buttered Soul.
