As I’ve mentioned in another thread, I’ve been working on my Halloween costume (Boba Fett) for the past month. Today, I made a great breakthrough in gluing my body armor to a cloth vest. It’s working fantastic, as the armor and vest are now basically one and the same.
The problem: I used an industrial cemement to do this. Now there’s a tremendous odor lingering on the costume (although I think the person who’ll be most impacted by this is me…and I gotta wear the thing).
I’m letting the thing sit outside in the hopes that the odor will dissipate as the glue sets. Assuming it doesn’t…what do you folks recommend for getting the smell out? I really don’t think washing is an option, so I’m wondering if I should hose the thing in Glade or something.
Surely somebody out there has some great stories on eliminating kitchen odors or skunk spray or something. Any ideas? Thanks!
