Best Youtube short movies?

Yes, I’m probably way behind the curve here but I noticed that youtube has started doing a nice line in free short movies. Some of them are pretty good and with relatively high production values.

I like science-fiction so those were the ones that caught my eye, but I’ll watch pretty much anything and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? Oh just your own personal favourites?

This is the last one I watched, I’m not really into post-apocalyptic stuff but it was well done:

Thanks! :)

It’s closer to a sketch, but I liked One Minute Time Machine.

Oh, man, I had a bunch of these bookmarked, but I forgot to bring them with me when I got a new computer earlier this year. There are some really astounding ones out there, and there are a couple of YouTube channels that showcase award-winners, but now I’ll have to stumble upon them again. I think Reddit had a few relevant threads that might be found with some skilled Googling.

Or maybe some more 'Dopers will pop in and share some more goodies.

Please pardon the absence of links, I’m on my work computer and can’t spend much time on YouTube. Shouldn’t be there at all, really.

The Hillywood Show did a brilliant mash-up of The Tenth Doctor and “The Time Warp”. Such a big nose on their Rose is rather distracting, though.

Somebody with too much time on their hands has been doing bits with marbles and steel bearings interacting with magnets. Look for “Magnets and Marbles !”

Bolding mine. Yes, that takes a lot of time. Pretty cool though.

Minecraft: Steve vs. Steve

Not a made-for, but I recommend “The Cicerones,” based on the early-'60s short story by the late great British spooky spook story writer Robert Aickman. 12 minutes long. Try it on for your Xmas ghost story.

Here’s a thread I started last year with a link to 10 short sci-fi films:

I haven’t seen any sci-fi shorts, but horror shorts were pretty popular for a while (may still be). Exploring a creepy concept in just a few minutes requires less suspension of disbelief and logic twisting, I guess

Lights Out - apparently later made into a full movie (I have not seen)
Bedfellows

I imagine there’s probably a bunch of these for every genre, but I’m too afraid to go looking for them right now, lest the rest of my free time gets blackholed.

ETA: Aaand I see JohnT’s thread already linked the first one!

Thanks for the answers everyone!
