Better Call Saul season 6

I don’t see anything with a happy spin or “last heroic stand” to it. This is about karma. Saul can’t win.

As long as it’s a good story, I’m up for anything they want to put in front f me.

The Jimmy ends up in prison and thrives as a jail house lawyer thing has been predicted a lot, including by me, is a fun ending but way too obvious. I hope they surprise us but in a good way.

And now it’s time for those of us on the West Coast to stay away from the thread and anywhere else online that might bring up the show.

Heh…well, not everyone on the West Coast. Us folks with the AMC+ Channel get to watch the live feed. :upside_down_face:

My Lord, that deal conversation. That’s Emmy winning stuff.

Oh, yes. This has been terrific so far. I am starting to get an idea in my head of where this might be heading…

And that was a perfect cameo. They really are doing a great job so far

Is he giving her up re: Mesa Verde?

Damn, no slipping Jimmy in this guy. He is pure… Saul Goodman.

Wow, I did not see that testimony twist coming!

Vince Gilligan knows how to end shows. Wow, what a finale! Loved how James McGill ended up killing Saul Goodman and Slipping Jimmy.

Nice sign off from the cast and creators.

Phenomenal. No big twist or scam, we just got to watch these actors inhabit these characters to a really satisfying end. He lost Saul but he reclaimed Jimmy and got kim back in his life, even for a moment.

I liked it. It was more subdued than the finale of Breaking Bad which may disappoint people. And it is NOT what I would have done.

(As for what I would done I would NOT have had Kim visit him in prison and just had done montage of Jimmy going the boring monotone of prison life and slowly faded out to the credits.)

Well now we know why Kim didn’t show up in Breaking Bad. Jimmy got 7 years, she got 86 :frowning:

Jimmy got 86. He burned the plea deal for 7

So no sign of the tequila stopper. I wonder if Vince’s comment was regarding the copy of “The Time Machine” we’ve seen a couple of times. It was on Jimmy’s nightstand in his apartment, and it was in the same box (I think) as the tequila stopper when the feds emptied his house.

Best little moment was while Saul was confessing to everything he did to Chuck, and the camera angle changed to being behind the EXIT sign, and you could hear the hum.

Such a great ending - pitch perfect.

I thought that was great, but… one thing I didn’t understand at all is how his testimony could get Kim off the hook. She had already confessed. How did his stunt help her at all?

No one said it did. He just wanted her there to see him confess, like she told him to. He dangled out “juicy details about Kim Wexler” not to save her, but to bury her so he could get ice cream every Friday - and everyone thought that’s what was going to happen, including Kim. But it was just a ruse so he could get everything off his chest.

Yeah, Kim’s possibly going to get sued, but no jail time.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Felina was a grand slam, holy shit finale that was a perfect ending for that show. BCS is a different show and deserves a different ending. I grinned like an idiot at at least two moments: Saul walking into the courtroom in a garish suit and Jimmy and Kim smoking against the wall.

This ending felt sort of like Mad Men, not flashy but giving the characters a send off.

(maybe too many cameos?)

Awww, turns out it was a love story after all. *sniff* He let go of all his scrambling and scheming and twisting and turning in order to have Kim think well of him again and to give her her life back. That was something.
