Better Conservatives? Where?! (A response to Coffeecat)

Well, I for one sincerely hope not. Factional warfare in the US would be extraordinarily messy.

Before you carry on with your little hijack, do you have any opinion about the OP?

octopus is another v.i., moaning about how mean people are to him while he espouses hatred and prejudice.

On the topic of the o.p., there are decent people who hold conservative viewpoints, but they aren’t in control of the Republican party and haven’t been since Nixon left office. Every since Newt Gingrich—the only Speaker of the House to be formally reprimanded for ethics violations, serial adulterr, and guy who abandons his wife while she is recovering from cancer surgery—launched his Contract On America, the GOP has lost any pretense of integrity or ethics, and they carefully parade around their supposed morality at important functions and then carefully pack it away in plastic wrapping so they can steal, lie, cheat, dissemble, and treat the Constitution the way drunken prep school boys named Bart attack a girl at a house party. Allowing themselves to be led about by the nose by an NRA which is backed by funding from a historically unfriendly foreign government, instigating and feeding off of fear and prejudice while dog whistling to white nationalists, and rationalizing why it is okay that their new best boy, Donald Trump, is not actually conservative, pious, or knowledgable about anything but how to get backstage at beauty pageants to gawk at contestance and running oceanfront casinos into the ground are all clear indications that conservative Republicans neither understand or care about the supposed morality they espouse.

I grew up in a heavily Republican-dominated area being taught and believing conservative ideals, and it took a while to see how utterly hypocritical most of those people actually were in every way, from being pro-life and anti-sex-education but getting their teenage daughters abortions when they got pregnant to the sham of going to church every Sunday and then violating every Christian ideal every day of the week. I’d like to hear from a “better Conservative” because they might have something to say in caution of radical social changes occurring more quickly than people can adjust, or cautionary rebuttal of excessive and unneeded deficit spending. But the first place they are going to have to start is with the worst offenders, and those are the people leading the GOP and adulating Donald Trump.

I addressed the OP with my first post, but please, carry on with phase 1 of your tactics. False accusations which are intended to provoke an off topic defensive post which proves your point for the stupid.

Your only posts in here so far have been dishonest and hostile. My post you responded to? It addressed the OP. It was met with your faux angry, discombobulated post. Please stop projecting and address the OP and stop playing your games. Really, outside of useful idiots, who are you fooling?

While many families were reunited, others remain separated. While in cages, they at least had access to education and other protections, the plan now from the administration is to move the kids to huge tent cities were those few benefits are almost absent. I have to agree with critics that it quaks like a concentration camp and walks like one.

You can count with your fingers the Republicans that oppose this “improvement” and finding the ones that contiously and with votes oppose Trump on immigration is almost like searching for unicorns.

It would help if your accusations had any merit.

With regards to being a v.i. we can’t all be a cross between a walking Wikipedia and an online essay generator. :frowning:

This is what bugs me the most. Bricker, who rationally knows that Trump is a horrible president, is more than willing to put up with the corruption, the Russian connections, the Muslim ban, the lying, the convictions, the international relations debacle, the continued civil rights violations of immigrants and minorities, the hatred and violence, and all the other crap that this administration and the Republican party have done and stood for, simply so he can have a perjurying, sexual assaulting justice, who will vote his way, on the Supreme Court.

I’m hopeful that, as they grow older and die (or experience life outside their little enclaves), the racists, the immigrant haters, the gay haters, the uneducated, irrational people who make up the bulk of the Republican base, this country will continue to make progress. But it’s the people like Bricker, the people who are willing to tolerate those others and the kind of people they elect just so they get their pet issue or a tax break, who scare me more. The ones who rationally decide the deal with the devil is better than working for good.

For the UK? There are a lot of um, kinks in your theory aren’t there?

Cute.
Has anyone told you that your attempts to hijack threads makes Wile E. Coyote look like Moriarty?

Phase 2! Take the defensive post refuting the initial dishonest accusation as further evidence that the initial accusation was true while ignoring the hypocrisy that the real “hijack” which is oh so “jerkish!!11!” is actually the accusation of a hijack. Pathetic, yet among the easily duped, surprisingly effective.

Here let’s do a timeline for the 2 digit IQ.

  1. BPC posts long opening post. You can scroll up and read that.
  2. Octopus addresses opening post with, to paraphrase, if what you claim is true then we are on our way to Civil War II. The implication being that we are at a state where normal political processes aren’t trusted and differences are irreconcilable.
  3. Czarcasm, lives up to one of his assigned derogatory names, posts a personal attack on me specifically designed to provoke a response.
  4. I defend myself from said post while pointing out the tactic.
  5. Czarcasm doubles down on his well honed tactic.

It would be laughable at how transparent and obvious this tactic is if it didn’t actually have an impact on the stupid.
Czarcasm, you are a disingenuous, stalking, troll. You should be ashamed of yourself but shame requires higher level neural circuitry than you possess.

Not worth my time any more.

Of course not. Because I demonstrated what a liar you are. And a creepy stalker to boot.

No. Look up Operation Midland and the story of ‘Nick’ who accused people left, right, and centre. Even Edward Heath, a former Prime Minister, was smeared. There was a witch-hunt and a great many people were taken in. ‘Nick’, who was described by the police as a “credible witness”, is now up before the courts. At least one person who was later exonerated died while under suspicion.

It’s a very sad story.

Etc

That’s the impression I got. Giving credit for what little has been conceded when it comes child imprisonment to the Republican rank-and-file is nothing more than dishonest, and giving any credit at all to the Trumpettes out there is insanity.

Your posts are my cite.

“seemed” being the key word. Perhaps from the 18-million foot view that someone like Quartz comments from. For people at Ground Zero, he was NOT conservative; he represented the RADICAL* Reactionaries. Therefore, NOT decent enough, when the rubber met the road.

I’ll concede that this description of the reality that was John McCain most closely applies to his 2008 Presidential campaign, and that there WERE anomalous events in which he displayed decency, such as his vote against the repeal of the ACA.

*The EXACT OPPOSITE of Conservative

…which porcine language experts have determined to indicate pleasure.

So you should have no problem demonstrating my hatefulness and prejudice. But that’s not even the real issue. Read some of the deranged posts from some of the left wing intellectual-fascists on this very board. They don’t have a problem with hate and prejudice. They have a problem with those who aren’t hateful enough or prejudiced enough against those that this echo chamber deems enemy of the people.

elucidator self-identifies as representing the conservative wing of the Radical Left. You could ask him.

P.S. What the fuck does “v.i.” mean?
