Better looking Hindi fonts

XP’s very useful Hindi language add-on is an extrememly useful tool. However, the font that comes packaged with it, Mangal, is hideous. It is, without a doubt, the worst looking excuse for Hindi I’ve ever seen.

Does anyone know where I can get (free) better, more classical looking Hindi fonts that work with the XP Unicode system?

Corollary… how the heck do you type in Hindi?

For that matter, how do you type in Arabic or any non-alphabetical language?

Hindi and Arabic aren’t non-alphabetic. You can use keyboard maps so you type the letters in using your normal keyboard. Extra letters can be accessed using control keys.
