Better times for New Orleans - your movie memories.

Well I started the thread so I get to choose The Cincinnati Kid - Steve McQueen, Edward G, Karl Malden, Ann-Margret, Tuesday Weld, Rip Torn, Joan Blondell and even Cab Calloway.

Sure you don’t see much of New Orleans but when I first saw this as a kid it was terribly evocative. The funeral at the beginning, the game “across the river”, the Old Lafayette, themansions, the rain, the little snippet where the Kid looks in on the blues band.

Anyone else have a favourite New Orleans based movie?

Plenty of New Orleans movies over here…

Tune In Tomorrow is an odd, charming little piece. The soundtrack album by Wynton Marsalis is a masterpiece. The movie stars Peter Falk as a scheming writer of radio soap operas. He also manipulates the life of (I think) a young Keanu Reeves. Henry Gibson is an announcer.
