Something has been bugging the hell out of me. Tool has a song called “Schism” which, aside from being a kickass song and having one of the most fucked up videos this side of a David Cronenberg film, has the cryptic chorus:

My question to you all is, well, what the hell is he singing?
I’ve got a few ideas, but they’re all vaguely disturbing.
Of course, the OP subject line (makes the most sense to me)
Between trombones and lovers (ska porn?)
Between calzones and lovers (what’s that pizza really stuffed with?)
Between well-hung mad lovers (…no, that one speaks for itself)
Between hambones and lovers (Vaudeville lust?)
Between Rambo and lovers (Adrian!!! Oops, sorry, wrong movie)
Any other suggestions? I’m usually ashamed to admit when I fall victim to “'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy” Syndrome, but this has been nagging me for, well, only a few minutes, but still, I gotta know! Help!
