Beyonce’s publicist doesn’t want people to see these pictures, so you should look at them and send them to everybody you know with instructions that they do the same.
The whole controversy over those pictures kills me. Sure, she looks goofy, but it also shows how incredibly goddamned into her performance she was. Girl wasn’t afraid of looking “ugly” to really tear up the stage. How many pop stars just prance and pose so there won’t be a single unflattering photo?

Seriously, though. Does it really take a dancer to know that there will be times on stage where your face isn’t going to look like a cosmetics ad? Sometimes your face gets scrunched up, and while the performance overall looks good, if someone captured stills of every moment, there are going to be a lot of them where you’re not looking your best. Silly stuff.

I thought* she* did fine. Sounded like crap though. One would think that by now someone would have figured out how to properly mic someone outdoors. Is it really that hard? Seems like they have this problem every year. Or do stadium concerts always sound like garbage?
Can I just say I think the Grammys red carpet proves my point re: Kelly’s hawtness over Bey.
Stadium concerts are sort of like banquet food–if it’s a great performance, it’s a plus, but really it’s all about the spectacle. I think this is particularly true for the Super Bowl, but for some performers it’s true of every performance (Madonna).
I have always thought Beyonce was talented, gorgeous, and very hardworking. I’m not that familiar with her work except in the movies, but she obviously works very hard and is as much of a control freak about her performances as Madonna, apparently. And I think she probably started out with more inherent talent than Madonna.
All I’ve heard, I think she qualifies as a Diva.
PS not everybody gets stretch marks. I’ll bet Beyonce had one (at least!) personal trainer that guided her through pregnancy. She probably has a staff of personal trainers.
