Hot take at first ad:
Trump is coherently spewing lies.
Biden is stumbling badly to speak the truth.
Not sure how it happened since I think both get the same amount of time but Trump has spoken five minutes longer than Biden (so far).
Biden has improved somewhat throughout the debate. His points more focused, slowing down, attacking his opponent, being a little angry.
But when Trump is talking, Biden looks like he swallowed the tinfoil wrapper his medications came in. Biden should be smiling in disbelief, rolling his eyes, using his hands better, look more like he is paying attention.
I’m not timing this, but it seems like they’re cutting Biden off more often than Trump.

My take at this moment: Biden has brought octogenarian normalcy and talking points to a fucking machete fight.
Body language and tone from Biden is telling. He loathes Trump and can’t hide it and it’s making him look like an angry old man and Trump’s not getting caught in the trap of responding too angrily. If Trump can stay somewhat focused and needle Biden it will provide more meme fodder.
If Biden would stick to his talking points and appear a bit less obviously disgusted he’d look better to the audience.
