I notice Biden staring off in the distance. He’s appeared literally catatonic for much of the time that Trump is speaking. This is not at all what we were hoping for.
Hundreds of millions in donations? Really? Biden needs to call that shit out. One sentence to note the bullshit that it is.
One thing that should have been noticed long ago is that DJT can read the setting and adapt to what will be best for him in that setting.
I know many here consider it blasphemous to attribute him ANY skill or guile, but for purposes of closing a sale, Donald Trump CAN be effective when he can be arsed to try. It’s just that by now in most circumstances he believes he’s above needing to close the sale, it’s just what he’s owed and someone else should do it for him. I never presumed we’d get “unhinged rambling Trump” from the start.
Agree with those who say Biden’s prep team may have overemphasized the “show how much better informed you are, he’ll be just bullshitting” angle. An old politician like him should know that confident bullshit is powerful even if the audience suspects that’s what it is, and you should be focused.

It was just one moment when Biden was speaking directly to Trump about Trump.
I also don’t love the camera angle that makes it look as if Biden is staring off in space to the left.

I don’t think this is “just how Biden is now”. Because this is worse than we’ve seen him, even recently. I think he’s dealing with something. Just a guess on my part.
