If you were the sort of person that would be insulted by Biden announcing he’d pick a woman, then you are not the sort of person that Biden would pick.
It’s not like they are losing out on a gig.
I think he’s more suggesting that the people who are insulted by limiting the choice to a woman are voters. And to your point - they’re likely not voters that would have ever been voting for Biden in the first place.
The only thing Trump knows how to do is rabble-rouse his base. MAGAcult may not have shrunk by much in the past four years but it has certainly become more rouse-able.
