bienville's New Rock n' Comedy Album!!! How did Dopers help?

Nine months of work and now bienville’s got a new baby!

Just finally released my new Rock n’ Comedy album and Dopers helped!!!
Songs referenced below are from the new album More Popular Than Reagan and can be heard on my MySpace page.*

Song Title: She’s Married
Dopers’ Help:
In this Thread I was worried about a lyric. In the tale of a guy who’s got the hots for a married woman I originally sang:

Now I knew that this was a terrible, and inaccurate, use of the word “apropos” but I liked the flow of the lyric and I thought the meaning came across ok. Still I was worried that if I recorded the lyric that way I would eventually regret the misuse of the word, so I came to the SDMB! Almost all of you agreed that the lyric was a problem.
The final recorded version has the rewritten lyric:

Song Title: Erin Gray
Dopers’ Help:
When I was writing a song about Erin Gray I was able to refresh my memory with Buck Rogers on DVD, but I had no access to any episodes of Silver Spoons. I didn’t end up taking anything directly from this Thread , but it did help to open the floodgates of my own personal Silver Spoons memories.
Song Title: Sharing
Dopers’ Help:
Big Bad Voodoo Lou was a great help in this Thread when I needed to know how to match the sound of a horn section that I liked. He pointed out that I needed a chorus of trumpets rather than a combination of different horns- this was awesome ‘cause it meant I only had to pay one guy who then just recorded a bunch of different parts!
See!?!?!? Y’all are involved! Dontcha feel special?

*As I understand the Board rules, we are allowed to share our own works as long as we are prepared for other Dopers to tear it apart and say that it sucks- please correct me if I’m wrong (or if I suck).

Congrats bienville. I’m listening to it now.

Love the cover art. Funny stuff.

Thanks! The cover art was done by Paula Achter, and I just think she did an amazing job. The concept was mine, but she just took it to a whole new level.

I am truly honored to be mentioned, and glad I could help in some small way. The song sounds great, by the way!
