Big Bang 1/18 - well that sucked

Exactly. You could say the same (or something similar) about Andy Griffith, or Dave Foley on NewsRadio.

It was supposed to be the bus terminal, not Gallatin Field, which is styled rather like a large ski lodge.

I lived in Bozeman for 6 years (up to 2001) where I was a biophysics nerd, so was amused that Sheldon chose it to move to. Never heard anyone call the residents Bozons or anything like that, although calling the city the “Bozone” was fairly common. I wonder if one of the writers has a connection to it?

I’ve only been in Bozeman once, and that was to move my wife from there to California. Nice place, she took me for drinks to the Molly Brown.

(I wonder if it survived the explosion…?)

Nah, I think Sheldon and Penny have become very close over the last season. She might even be his #2 friend over Raj.

I thought the user friendliness bit was funny but no way in hell does a person like Vista over Win 7. He should have used XP instead of Vista.

But the episode was by far the worst they’ve ever had. Oh well…

“My new laptop came installed with Windows 7. I find it much more user-friendly than Windows Vista. I don’t like that.”

My new favorite line from the show, I think.

Oh, and my hubby appears to be an uber-nerd: he figured out Sheldon’s Pictionary drawing in seconds. Keep in mind, hubby is a music teacher. Physics are a HOBBY.

NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!

(He got a teaching credential in science almost on a whim over this past summer, just in case the music program was cut. He passed the two exams–more than 5 hours of testing in one sitting–on the first try. NERRRRRRRD! …and I love him for it.)

I guess that makes him an uber-geek of the highest order. Took me a good two minutes.

Bozeman has a Star Trek connection – it was where Zefram Cochran was from and where first contact was made with Vulcans.

I missedc this episode, but I’m intrigued by the rebus. Anybody have a screen cap?

She gave him THE LEONARD NIMOY Napkin!

Number Two, nothing! She’s his best friend!

I laughed quite loudly when Sheldon put a big X over Nebraska after confirming with Penny that was where she was from.

That’s what I figured he was checking on when he dashed into his bedroom.

I’m guessing that Raj got quite a boost in his standing after bribing Sheldon with his signed Hulk gloves. Remember, he used to be last because he didn’t know Sheldon’s favorite amino acid.

Does Sheldon have a fear of flying? Bus to Bozeman, Train to conference. . .

I knew as soon as I saw the pigs snouts and the bow. After all, Sheldon would have tried to use something Penny has heard of. Seriously, doesn’t she even read the newspaper? I thought it was wrong to include the last word though. For Sheldon that would be like saying “Good bye* to you*!” the last bit is so clearly understood as to be unneeded.

Sitting in traffic this morning I had a humorous idea of Howard with a baby strapped to his back, and juggling several bags and bottles, chasing after his girlfriend (name?) begging her to “wait up.” Howard, Leonard, and Raj as Dads woudl be a hilarious show!

I really want to see Raj’s selective muteness become a dynamic issue. Maybe he goes to one of those Tony Robbins type seminars and the leader breaks down compeltely trying to help him . . . then something simple Penny says fixes it.

Based on the unbelievable speed Raj gets “drunk” I think someone giving him a non-alcoholic drink and telling him it was alcoholic would work. Penny could mix it and Leonard will call it “The Placebo.”

My favorite line is Sheldon’s comment about being “disappointed by Star Wars movies in the order George Lucas intended.”

They did that once. Raj was drinking non-alcoholic beer, if I recall and was able to talk to a woman. It is a social anxiety and as long as Raj thinks he is getting drunk (or already drunk) then he is fine.

I was going to say the same thing. A real geek would have simply said “Higgs boson” rather than “Higgs boson particle.”

Especially since Leonard is still a suspect in the robbery!

Not any woman but Summer Glau !!!

Well, it didn’t lead to any kind of epiphany or anything. I’d like to see more of Danica McKellar helping Raj get over it.
