I am starting this thread in anticipation of tonight’s episode.
Best episode ever (just to switch things up a bit).
Well, it is kinda rare to have an episode where Leonard is a bigger jerk than Sheldon.
Oh man, that was a funny episode. So much good dialogue. I had numerous literal laugh out louds moments. Easily the best episode of the season for me. I am sooooooo happy to see this show rebounding (from my point of view).
That was actually pretty funny. Best episode in a long time.
This show should have been titled Don’t Get Into A Relationship With A Nerd. I felt deeply sorry for each of those girls.
Leonard’s gleeful, “She makes more than I do!” killed me.
Why was Howard all “You’ve got groceries and the baby. . .”? Does he not remember he’s the one stuck with the kid while Bernie works? That was the deal they came to, right?
Rare? Rare? In 90% of the episodes Leonard is a bigger jerk than Sheldon. Sheldon has an excuse - Leonard is just a cheating asshole.
The baby stuff isn’t good. The Leonard and Penny stuff was just ok, it played one joke too long. Sheldon and Amy entertaining was pretty good, better if they left out the ridiculous immigrant.
I like that Amy continues to evolve and to challenge Sheldon. That was my favorite story line.
I did laugh out loud a few times, but the whole Howard-Bernie-Raj triangle is still terrible. Bernadette really seems to dislike Howard and Raj and I don’t blame her, or her hormones. If she weren’t about to have a baby I would expect her to leave them. What are the writers thinking, making them all so mean and unhappy?
Having a baby is hard. Some women go a little nuts-- I did. Howard is actually doing the best Howard can to rise to the situation.
And it does happen in real life that men go nuts the first time they feel the baby kick. My husband broke his Civ V CD in two so he couldn’t play it anymore, and started sending out resumes like crazy even though he hadn’t finished his degree. He also took me shopping for a crib and a carseat. And he bought a screen for the car to confine the dogs to the back so the couldn’t get to the baby.
What the hell is Sheldon’s excuse?
He’s crazy. Yeah, I know, but she never took him to that specialist in Houston.
I was hoping Penny would be in the ape suit. Or something revealing. Leonard playing God of the Nerds was pretty good. The immigrant woman chiming in with a television quote based on a snippet of conversation was pretty good. Howard buying a crib and a van without consulting his wife- not good. Love drunk Sheldon. Stuart was almost tolerable, a high water mark for him.
Was this the first episode in which Sheldon wore something other than his geeky t-shirts? Last night he was in a long-sleeve buttoned shirt.
Drat! Got nuthin ta contribute, just yet. The episode got pre-empted in my area for a damm football game!
The ending with Stuart and Sheldon was my favorite scene. Nobody plays a drunk Sheldon better than Jim Parsons.
He wears other shirts all the time. Just google image search “Sheldon Cooper” and you’ll see plenty of examples.
I was only slightly disappointed that Stuart took the high road with Sheldon and Amy. Normally Stuart is wanting any kind of attention, no matter how insignificant. One would think that being invited to a dinner party would have made his entire month, even if it was only a “test situation” for Sheldon.
Still, I laughed hard during this episode.
I would have disliked that character development more if they didn’t bring it back with the drunk scene at the end.
Good episode, but 18 mins 10 seconds including the opening credits. How long until they are less than 15 mins per episode?
