Big Bang Theory fans: Penny has a broken leg

Oh, that would be such a scene. Penny (shot from the waist up), telling Leonard she has an audition to play a cripple, Leonard telling her “break a leg,” and Sheldon standing nearby hearing and kicking her very hard. Hard enough to break a leg.

Leonard: Sheldon! What are you doing?
Sheldon: You told her to break a leg.
Leonard, exasperated: Sheldon! It’s just an expression. It means “good luck.”
Sheldon: Since when is breaking a leg lucky? I would consider breaking a leg to be th most unlucky thing that could possibly happen to a person. Particularlty to an actor trying to get their lucky break.
Leonard: You know what? Just never mind. Help me get her to the hospital.
Sheldon: Now, do you mean to help you or do you mean that you don’t need any help?

Straight from the horse’s mouth, Sara Gilbert said on Twitter (to me, actually) that she’s not planning to do any BBT episodes this year. She’s going to be on a daily talk show called, unimaginatively, The Talk, that premieres next month. It’s live Monday - Thursday and one of those days they’ll pretape a show for Friday, so she’s going to be a bit busy.

As for Penny, it seems more likely to me that they’ll send her home to Nebraska for some reason, and then she’ll either come back injured or they may pull a “Three’s Company” and leave her in Nebraska (tending to a sick mom, maybe) and have her talking to the guys via video chat (like Raj’s parents) or waist-up splitscreen phone calls.

I want more Kripke. Maybe they’ll give him some screne time to replace Penny screne time.

I would hope that Kripke screen time wouldn’t exactly replace Penny screen time.

Hijack alert!

I wonder how many episodes they have actually filmed this season, thus far. I would guess that they would be on episode 5 or 6 by now. Its season debut is next week.

In another BBT thread, I thought a great resolution to the Wil Wheaton/Sheldon feud would be Penny getting the best of Wil Wheaton in some sort of contest. Sheldon would have mixed emotions, glee that a friend got the best of Wil Wheaton, but anguish that it wasn’t him.

Wasn’t Mayim Bialik (Blossom) supposed to have a recurring role this season?

She & Sheldon are supposed to go on their date in the premiere. Nothing against the actress, but I really hope she doesn’t become a recurring character & date Sheldon thoughout the season.

As for Penny, if they don’t send her to Nebraska & the elevator stays broken she’ll basically be trapped in the apartment building with only the guys for social interaction.

My bet is the extension cord Sheldon hooks his laptop to when using it on the stairs.

Just imagine her having to rely on Sheldon to go her laundry, grocery shopping, etc.

Sheldon will take care of her “check engine” light.

Good lord no! I come close to dropping the show every time he is on.

I want to see the Winkle-Kripke wedding. Because the only possible way they can make up to me for the time I’ve been forced to spend watching him, is to let me watch her torture him for a while. I’m guessing she starts with capsaicin on his dental floss. . .

Who’s got the hotter mom—Leonard or Sheldon?

What are you Satan?

Mayim Bialik is supposed to “pop up” from time to time. I suppose it’d be somewhat like Leslie Van Winkle only a bit less.

As for the broken leg, that’s easy to write in. Lucille Ball broke her leg and they wrote it into “Here’s Lucy.” Anissa “Buffy” Jones also broke her leg on “Family Affair” and they just wrote it in.

It’s easy to do, it’s not like a broken leg is uncommon.

I read that the writers liked Lucy’s broken leg so much she was in a fake cast after her real leg healed. The writers felt by having a broken leg it made them realize the Harry the brother-in-law / boss, couldn’t be so mean to her and that made the show better.

Penny: What are we going to do?

Leonard: “We”? Oh, no no no no no no. You had a whole year-and-a-half to become a “we.” You are a “you.” And you are screw-wed.

I haven’t been keeping up with the show, so I googled Kripke, and I found a website you might like: Five Ways to Off Kripke.

Or scratch the itch under her cast because she can’t quite reach it. “Penny, why are your eyelids fluttering?”

They are neighbors. He’s been attracted to her since she moved in. This made him especially friendly, and they formed a friendship. They went on one awkward date that didn’t work out well, but when he went away for the summer on a research project, she missed him so much that she jumped his bones when he got back. Later that season, he got grumpy when she wasn’t ready to say “I love you” yet, and Evil Wil Wheaton convinced her to break up with him.
