Big Brother 12 - Season Thread

Interesting, thanks. Britney reminds me of a very young Dolly Parton (without the obvious attributes…) I mean that as a compliment, as I’ve always liked Dolly. I think it’s her mouth that reminds me of her.

So far the Hayden/Kristen/Andrew alliance has been completely left out of the show on TV.

I was wondering about this. Couldn’t the producers just whip up a special batch of kosher slop for him? I can’t imagine they would just let him starve (assuming he’s not the saboteur of course).

I think Enzo would prefer it if you refered to him by his proper name, “The Meow Meow.” However, I also think that Lane, Matt, and Hayden (“The Brigadoons”) have already forgotten their Meow Meow-inflicted nicknames.

Yeah, you’re right, Yossarian, I’m not sure how I forgot to mention that. Has there ever been a odder, douchier self-imposed nickname?

Hamster time live feed blogging refers to Lane as BDLane. BD? as in Big Di**?

Big Dumb Lane

Well, so much for that gimmick.

Well since we now that saboteur is a liar does that mean that she lied about two houseguests being life long friends?

The image of Alison Grodner sitting up in the control room chewing on her liver is making me happy.

I think this is the only logical conclusion a houseguest could draw. The whole saboteur twist was dead on arrival.

I have mixed feelings about my attempted guessing of the saboteur. On the one hand, it appears my logic was dead-on. On the other hand, being good at guessing BB is like having a great Magic: The Gathering card collection. Being good is evidence of being a loser with no life. heh.

IMO, Britney is gone next unless she wins PoV. Booooo. (Brenadan is a fan of Andrew’s, who would have been the only other logical choice for Rachel to target. Without him, Britney & Monet go on the block and Kathy goes up as pawn if either of them win PoV. If Britney wins veto, Monet go homes.)

Agreed. I did hear Andrew himself say that slop wasn’t kosher, but it was very early on. Possibly before the saboteur put the locks on the door making everyone eat slop, or maybe after. I think he said it in the context of having to win the Have Not competition, so that would be after the whole house was on slop for a few days. I believe they also got popcorn during that, so he could have lived on that at least. It’s worth keeping an eye out to see.

I have a love/hate (well, like/hate) relationship with this show so I’m delighted that their let’s-promote-the-heck-out-this ‘twist’ died a quick death.

This show goes into my head and back out again very quickly, but I seem to be retaining one thing. Is it true that, like tonight’s vote, over the past few seasons, that the house guests have been increasingly unified in their votes?

So…now what do they do? Do they let the houseguests know that they just voted out the [del]mole[/del] saboteur? Do they not tell them and let things go as they will? Or do they not tell them and keep up the saboteur tricks, except by Production now?

Julie Chen said to tune in Sunday to see the saboteur’s identity revealed to the houseguests. Probably means it will happen tomorrow.

Last season was my first, but I was led to believe by the longtime watchers that the stank of Jesse polluted the show from the outset. The first example was the first vote, which went to a tiebreaker. This was supposed to be a depature from all other seasons, where the first vote is always a landslide. I can’t speak to the accuracy of that, but that’s what I remember reading last season.

I don’t see why Haydon will not be vulnerable this week. he nominated Rachel and Brendon. Brendon wants revenge and Rachel and Brendon will be in the HOH room together most of tonight.

Granted, I do not follow the live feeds or watch BBAD. So i only know what I can quickly gloss from the blogs and the TV shows.

That’s fair and reasonable, but don’t underestimate the Mean Girl dynamic. Besides, half the house told Rachel straight to her face that they were voting however Hayden wanted, and Hayden ended up wanting (and getting) Annie out. He also started bonding a little with Brendon in the last couple days once he decided to backdoor Annie.

Based on BBAD tonight, there is a male darkhorse candidate for getting the axe.Matt, who both Brendan and Rachel agree is starting to act weird. Also, looks like Rachel amazingly thinks Monet is the faker Mean Girl, so she may be the primary target. Up in HoH, Kathy crawled up Rachel’s ass all the way to her sternum, so she’s almost certainly safe this week.

You’d think the producers would have pulled some stunts to keep Annie safe at least one week. What an epic fail of a twist. I loved the goodbye messages though. Britney’s in particular. They’re always better before the ousted go to the jury house. No fear of retribution. Rachel may have a little Janelle in her. Despite her appearance and some things she says, she may be a competitor.

From live feed recaps, it appears that production tried very hard to persuade Hayden not to nominate Annie.

Like what? I’m sure it had to be subtle or else someone could claim tampering.

Oh, my…did you miss last year? There was a LOT of arm-twisting in the Diary Room about who to put up and who not to. Sometimes the HGs followed the suggestions and sometimes not, but production is NOT a neutral observer on this show. Also, there was a lot of talk on the recap boards about production leaking info about players to other players.

What are some ways the producers try to persuade them?
