And the other half are professional idiots. They work hard at it and it shows.
Shit – apparently I missed more than a few minutes – I have no idea what any of this means.
Yeah, me either. I only watch the regular shows, though – Liberal, was all that stuff on the After Dark show?
Looking online it looks like things get pretty rowdy after the regular show ends. Careful with the links – there may be spoilers there, and some NSFW, depending on where you work.
Yeah, it was After Dark.
Twicks, prior to the reconciliation, there was an enormous blowout in the back yard that was pretty much everybody against Amanda while Alex stood by helpless. They called her whore, bitch, cunt — practically every pejorative known to man. Joshua screamed these things at her. He said she had accused Alex of attempted rape. Chelsia said someone should give her a noose (a reference to Amanda’s father, who commited suicide by hanging himself.) By the time Amanda made her way into the house, she was panting and wailing so hard she could barely speak. She had those crying hiccups that people get when they try to cry, breathe, and speak simultaneously. She spent the next hour or better in the diary room while the mood among the others slowly changed from laughing at her to feeling sorry for her. But Joshua was absent during the feeling sorry part. When he returned, he didn’t know the dynamic had changed.
Here’s a video of the backyard attack.
LOUD - NOT SAFE FOR WORK
LOUD - NOT SAFE FOR WORK
Looks like the video cut off just before Joshua got out of the hot tub, right at the start of the “rape” thing. There are probably others there, you can search for them.
I am, in fact, at work, so won’t be looking at those till later – but WTF? Why did everyone suddenly turn on Amanda? What set it off?
Golly.
The potential for a quarter of a million dollars after taxes is not worth putting yourself through that kind of shit.
A confluence of things, mostly the girls in the house comparing notes about who said what to whom, with all signs pointing to Amanda. It began with Chelsia wanting to clear up something allegedly said in the sauna. She went outside to confront Amanda, who was in the hot tub with Joshua and Sharon. Within five minutes, it had passed the point of no return. When Joshua got out of the tub, he had to be pulled away from Amanda because he wanted to fight her. He said if he was a woman, he’d kick her ass. The girls were literally cheering and applauding as he verbally assaulted her. It was a bit reminiscent of Carrie in the shower.
So did Amanda say anything in the confessional room to confirm or deny whatever it was that people were accusing her of?
Don’t know. Confessionals are shown only on CBS broadcasts, and houseguests are not allowed to discuss them among themselves. (They tend to skirt that rule toward the end of the season sometimes, but BB still yells at them for it.)
ETA:
She pretty much confirmed it all during the backyard skirmish. She quibbled mostly with the details, claiming, for example, that she never actually used the term “slut” to reference Jen or “rapist” to reference Alex.
