I have to admit I have trouble wrapping my mind around how this show could possibly be interesting, and yet still legally be viewed by the general public. It just doesn’t make sense. So, of course this makes me curious.

I’ve determined that I’m actually quite uninterested in this (game?) show. If I want to check out chickens butts, I’ll go get me some chickens bring 'em on home.
and if Dewt brings home any live chickens, whether their butts are involved or not, he will face divorce court and can go live in that cabin with all their chickens…

I have been watching the Spanish version of the show with great interest. At first it was just because I knew someone on the show, but then it just hooks you. I am now back in London and can only check up on progress thru the internet, but it still keeps me interested.
I know these shows have been done to death, but I love watching people get past all the superficial stuff and begin to show their real attitudes. Fun.
I don’t know about the US one, apparently they are starting a UK one in a few weeks too, so just seems to be a bit of a world wide phenomena.

This show is getting pretty boring. Couldn’t they have brought in more exciting people? Alcoholics & drug addicts, sex addicts, etc would be fun.
Also, some of the guys said they brought boxes of condoms. sigh

I read in the newspaper the other day that this show is doing horribly here, ratings-wise. And CBS has no easy way to kill it. The article also mentioned that the people in the show thought it was boring and uninventive… I haven’t bothered to watch it. Don’t think I will.
Well first you have only a half hour that is being shown most nights, so you cannot get to know the people.
Even in the half hour they put together, they show 10+ minutes of recap of stuff they have shown over the last couple of days and then they show a few mintues of new stuff. Yet, eventhough they are not showing much new stuff, the stuff they show is kind of dull. In the hour long show on Thursday, they spent most of the time with the camera on the field reporter or whatever she is (the houseguests did not even know who she was).
I mean all they give them to do is some cards and other board games. None of the people are really interested in playing. William got bored and got inventive and decided to play a trick on the others and got slammed for it.
I think he will get the vote, though I think it would be funny if no one called to vote on either of the two. I mean who really cares enough to pay .99 just to vote. I watch the show and I would have voted William out via the internet, but I will not pay to do so. (I would vote William out, because I want to keep watching Jordan.)

Am I just being a moralistic jerk, or is anyone else disturbed by the people who are parents of young kids and have decided to try to spend months (what is it, 3 months?) locked away from their families in order to win money?
I hope this show dies an ignominious death and CBS learns not to try anything similar.
First I figure that the parents will not last the entire three months, that even if they do not get voted out that they will leave due to missing their families.
But yes, I could not even imagine voluntarily choosing to leave my wife and daughters for anywhere close to 3 months. They cannot talk to their family or anything. I am sure if some emergency came about Big Brother would let the person know/leave, but that is kind of a small consolation.
I could not go 3 months without my wife and children.

One thing about this show is that there are people flirting like nuts with people who have offshow boyrfriends or girlfriends, I cant imagine what it would be like for them to watch this show.
I was thinking exactly the same thing Handy. How must Jordan’s boyfriend feel with her doing some serious flirting with Josh.
I do not recall if Josh has a girlfriend or not but he is flirting with both Jordan and Brittney.
It has to be hard on them, though maybe they have an “open” relationship with their bf/gf.

Josh has a girlfriend. Jord is only interested in him since she found out that Brittany likes him. How can Jord be a stripper? She doesn’t have anything to strip to I hope they vote her ass out.
