Big Brother - 2013. It's baaack!

That was one of the best musical jokes of the season! Jeremy’s all into getting busy and every time they seem to be getting somewhere, Kaitlin goes into woe-is-me mode and the boom-chaka music stops! I was on the floor last night. Of course, given the massive tool that Jeremy is, I could watch him get cock-blocked all week.

That’s what I’m talking about!

Wow, Aaryn’s even dimmer than I previously imagined, which is really saying something. It was nice seeing her and Jeremy sulking after Nick was kicked out.

Must admit, the “bow-chicka-wow-wow” had me giggling; I’m finding this season incredibly amusing. Kind of sad to see Nick’s mind out of the game, and he was pretty spot on with his assessment when talking to Julie.

My daughter introduced me to Garfunkel and Oates by means of the song “This Party Just Took a Turn for the Douche,” and that constantly plays in my head whenever Jeremy or Aaryn are on the screen.

What are your MVP thoughts? I think I might be entertained if Elissa gets it again and again.

The MVP is something the producers can manipulate, because the show edit that people get is going to be a huge nudge, considering the percentages of the audience that only watch the show vs. follow the live feeds. It looked to me like they were trying to nudge a Helen MVP pick this week.

That’s actually the reason I really want Elissa out of the house - I’m relatively sure that she’ll be MVP in perpetuity. I’ll be surprised if anyone else gets the position while she’s still in the house.

I wonder if Aaryn really understands what she’s really created for herself here. She’s disliked by most of America because of her immature and ignorant comments disrespecting gays and minorities.

I picture Aaryn’s exit interview (hopefully next week) with Julie going something like this…

Julie: Did you see this coming Aaryn?
Aaryn: I thought everyone loved me. I played such a great game.
Julie: Oh, btw, you can sleep in tomorrow, you were fired from your job for being BB’s #1 douche-bag.
Here’s a Morgenstern prediction. Elissa is MVP again next week and probably will win it until that sickly sweet layer of innocence wears off her persona. (Oh America, thank you sooooooo much for this. I’m soooooo happy you love me).

And that pink mini dress. Lose it. It makes you look like you’re auditioning for a role in a porno flick.

Meh, Nick was being made out to be a much better player than he really was, and got way too cocky. He kept harping in the DR about how he had Elissa in his pocket and was going to tell her what she wanted to hear, and then went on to pretty much do the exact opposite. And the fact that a couple of his supposed alliance members didn’t vote for him really says something about his game, or lack thereof.

I agree… I think Nick was strategically smart but lacked in the face-to-face game.

I’m starting to root for the Amanda/McCrae team… they seem like pretty decent people and she seems really observant and smart.

I want to like McRae, but he’s just so PASSIVE (I mean, WHO KNEW the slacker pizza guy wouldn’t be a gung-ho mover and shaker, right?!)! I predict that his first-week HoH win is the only thing he’s actually going to do in the house all season. He vacillates back and forth depending on who talked to him last.

Amanda, I do like for some reason. She just seems like the kind of person I’d like to hang out with (were I about 10 years younger and not so boring), and she’s not an actively racist/bigoted person (which puts her in the minority in that house right now). She is kind of an enabler, though…she doesn’t call any of the real bigots out when they start to go off and, like she did last night with Aaryn, she has a tendency to brush racist/bigoted comments off as “joking”.

Dear lord. From last night:

‘Big Brother’ – Race War Explodes … Aaryn Mocks Black Houseguests

Yeah this whole thing happened during the BBAD time frame last night, so I saw most of it on TV. (I rarely watch that, and don’t get the live feeds. Just happened to tune in.)

It was… yikes. Candace was hysterical crying & upset over Aryan’s constant racial remarks towards her. Howard almost has a weird meltdown in the Have Not room. Candace called out Aryans parents at one point, saying they did a terrible job raising their daughter.

Aryan has absolutely no clue how she is being received by America. She thinks it’s *Jessie *that is getting that villain edit! She totally did not catch Julie’s meaning when she asked her does she realize America is watching & the cameras are always on. :smack:

You know, Candice is hot. I hope she takes the high road in all this and ends up making it to the end.

I have to agree with this…on more than one occasion the lighting and the hairstyle she had made her look like a “regular people” Beyonce to me (as opposed to “people who can afford to have personal trainers and a beauty-maintenance entourage” Beyonce).

Spoilers about live feeds last night…
TPTB are still trying to use Amanda as their prophet to Aryan, since she appears not to want to listen to them directly. In that big old clusterfuck that happened last night, Amanda appears to have delivered an epic verbal ass-kicking to the Blond Bigots about just what the producers are asking about in the DR of the other houseguests in re Aaryn and GM’s racist tirades (not that those two are the only ones, but they’re apparently the only ones Grodner wants to pin it on). And Aryan is completely blowing it off, because she’s NEVER said a single derogatory racial remark!

Howard and Candice were both in tears last night (for much better reason than GM had for going sobby cray-cray over NotSoSecretlyGayNick (speaking of which, BOTH Howard and Candice actually spent time comforting BunnyBoilerGM, despite her participation in Bedgate)).
I’m starting to wonder if the producers are aiming for a redemption arc for Aaryn. Imagine the feel-good coup for BB if they could reform a racist on a national stage. To that end I worry they’re going to manipulate the game (via leading DR questions) to keep her in the house until they get that change of heart from her, but alas I don’t think she ever will.

Until nothing. Elissa is guaranteed MVP as long as she’s in the house. Keep in mind that these are Brenchel fans voting for her. There is literally nothing she could do to turn them off.

I actually LIKE Elissa (especially as opposed to the mini-klavern on the other side of the house). She has some of the annoying characteristics of Rachel without the utter over-the-top obnoxiousness, but generally seems like a much more level-headed, mature version. I guess actually having kids does that to you.

Then they really shoulda’ used the record scratch sound effect each time.

The sound effects guy may have been too busy adding the “ding” when a player hits one of those closet push lights that they pretend are functional buttons. Or adding the “schwing” sound effect when they pull those keys from the giant round box.

I’m glad to reclaim three hours of leisure time by dumping this show, but I’ll check back here from time to time.

Have they shown the HoH putting the keys of the safe people into the velvet bag and then putting the velvet bag into the box and then putting that box into a bigger box and then putting that box into a drawer of a chest that is in a room that only he has access to? I always found that so stupidly funny.

What’s the odds on Aaryn not getting the nomination tonight? (7/14)

Spoiler (if you must know)…

She’s on the block.

If you want to know more information before the show tonight…

Also, Kaitlyn and Spencer (MVP nom).
