Elissa’s about the only sane human in that house. You see things when you follow the feeds that Endemol does not allow on the show…every single one of the rest of them is an iron-clad asshole. At least 2/3 of the people left are out-and-out racists, which overlaps with some kind of narcissistic personality disorder and just plain stupidity. The only people I see still in there to root for are Elissa, Jessie and maybe McRae if he ever breaks free from the Dictatrix.
For all the teeth-gnashing Elissa inspired at the beginning of the season, she’s actually turned out to be a fairly cool person, not at all what you’d expect from the sister of Rachel Reilly.
I don’t watch the live feeds, so I can’t say just how good of an edit she’s getting, but from what I understand, she’s one of the few people who’s largely steered clear of the racist crap.
Ok, my DVR crapped out the last few minutes of Sunday’s show. I can’t watch on CBS’ website because of a feud with Time effing Warner. Can someone spoil the noms for me?

Yes. She’s been consistent in her obvious distaste for the racist and homophobic shenanigans most of the rest of the house is drowning in. There are times when that sort of annoying smirk is obviously pasted on so she doesn’t try to claw some racist idiot’s eyes out.
She’s high-maintenance, annoying, kinda spineless, and playing a HORRIBLE game, but, seriously, her and Jessie are about the only people I can still hope for a win in there right now. And Jessie’s probably toast.
Judd was the easiest person to root for, and my #1 by a wide margin, but sadly he’s a bust.
Andy appears to be a decent guy, and is playing the game well. Sure he lies and manipulates, but that’s the game and he doesn’t do it in a malicious way. He’s not a hurtful person, and he’s very good at BB, so he’s an easy guy to root for. I personally am not, but only because I can’t get over the fact that he just looks weird. His face kind of freaks me out.
Helen is manipulative and great at BB but she’s bossy and arrogant. Plus, her game is boring to watch. Right now this is a game between two people: Helen and Amanda, and I see Helen winning if only because she’s already trying to get Amanda out. It’s hard to like Helen in any context outside of being a good game manipulator; I just can’t get on the Helen train.
McRae is actually pretty good at the game and a pretty decent guy, but he’s stuck in a bad situation being so closely tied to Amanda. Once Amanda is gone McRae will be easy to root for, and he’ll have an outside shot. When he gets a chance to fly solo his biggest problem will be that he doesn’t have a vagina; this is clearly the season of the women.
That’s the list of people to root for. Elissa is a whiny entitled brat with a self-righteous superiority complex and literally zero game. Jessie is a wanna-be Mean Girl; she’s like the Lacey Chabert character from the movie if that character weren’t hot enough to get into the Mean Girl circle. The rest of the house is filled with actual, honest to god scumbags, on a whole other level.
Unfortunately for me I gravitate toward challenge monsters on all these dopey physical challenge shows. (BB, Survivor, TAR, The Challenge, etc…) And now I must hang my head in shame because that double eviction episode earned my half-hearted rooting interest for…Aaryn.
That girl is a certified challenge monster at this point, with three HoHs and a Veto under her belt. Even more impressive is the variety of challenge types she’s won: Endurance (slippery bucket filling), Skill (aim the ball roulette), Question & Answer, and Puzzle veto. That’s pretty much every single type of challenge BB has, no?
Yes, she’s clearly racist and even beyond the racism she’s just plain mean-spirited. She’s the person that character in Shallow Hal is based on, heh. But I can’t help it; I am naturally drawn to rooting for merit based on performance in challenges. In the same way I have little trouble rooting for drunk drivers and wife beaters on an NFL team.
Helen and MacRae are the only two people I could see winning, though, as much as I hate to say it, Aaryn possibly has a chance if for no other reason than she’s, as Ellis Dee put it, a “challenge monster.”
Helen probably has the best game at this point, but that’s not really saying much. The main reason she’s managed to gain so much traction is because pretty much everyone else’s “gameplay” is a joke. In a season with a smarter group, the HGs would have been able to see right through her.
So, no one is talking about getting Helen out at all yet?

Amanda has made noises about it. Also, Jessie has gone completely fuck-it-all since she knows she’s going on Thursday (since the person who won the veto didn’t use it) and has completely picked the house up and shaken it like a Polaroid picture. She’s been calling out just about everyone including Helen and completely exposing their game.
This has been one odd season. All the strong physical players are gone early. No one has really tried that hard to break up the house couple. Does Spencer hold the record yet for most times on the block without going home?
For a minute there last night I thought Aaryn was going to actually, you know, show some balls.
So, just why is everyone so afraid of Amanda? I don’t think she’s won a single competition in the house, and off the top of my head, I don’t think McCrae’s won anything either, other than the first HOH.
Yet everyone seems to be falling over themselves to do her bidding.
And, just what is it with Helen’s hardon to get Spencer out? The guy’s one of the weakest players this season, and the only reason he’s managed to make it this far, is because each week the house wants somebody else out just a little bit more.
Also, didn’t OTEV used to be a giant oyster with a goofy baritone voice?
I think OTEV has been different each season it was used.
Well, firstly, this season’s crop is about the least strategic-thinking cast I’ve ever seen on this show. Usually there’s at least a couple of people with a fairly good strategy but this year? Nope.
Second, Amanda’s a bully. She’ll overtly threaten people. And she knows EVERYTHING because she has her pet rat patrolling the house for conversations to suddenly appear at and then bring everything that’s said to her. Andy is ubiquitous whenever two or more people start having a conversation and he runs right to Amanda with everything he hears. She’s practically omniscient because of this and if she were a better strategist and could keep herself from immediately confronting people based on this information, she’d be even MORE dangerous.
I think the original OTEV was a big Easter Island-type idol. I’m not sure when it started changing.
Hell, I get scared of Amanda just watching the show. Boss Bitch.
Why would Aaryn want to “show some balls” by nominating Amanda? She would have nothing to gain and lots to lose. Did you want her to torpedo her legitimate (and strong) final four deal just to watch entertaining fights or did you mean it would be a good move for her?
Amanda definitely hasn’t won anything. Hell, she may have never even been on a winning (as opposed to “not last”) team in a Have Not competition. heh. She truly is pathetic at the competitions, and that’s why she was hiding behind the trash can to cry. She couldn’t even win a competition that was thrown to her.
I think McCrae won a second competition, possibly even a third. Didn’t he get HoH a second time? I kinda half-remember him winning a veto too, but I can’t remember either clearly. Maybe he did only win the first HoH and nothing else.
He could easily have won the most recent HoH, at least, if he didn’t throw it for Amanda.
Is he weak, though? Socially yeah, he’s terrible. But he’s solid in competitions.
OTEV has morphed into several different personas.

I think Zingbot’s a goner. I’ve heard that the person who played Zingbot last season almost died from heat exhaustion from being in the suit.
i am a day behind so I don’t know what happened on thursday with the eviction and returning evictee. But as it stands I don’t particularly like anyone except Helen and she is doomed. Elissa is just so mediocre and my annoyance at her nasty remarks to Amanda regarding the one piece swimsuit pushed her into the negatives along with her whiney quitting attitude. I did like Amanda for awhile and then I saw some of the stuff that has been edited out. Amanda, Gina Marie, Spencer and Aaryn are horrible, nasty people and I hope they are shunned from society once they leave the BB house. Andy has run around telling everyone what everyone else is saying, is there anyone he isn’t making an alliance with? that leaves blind Helen, Mcrae who is so happy to have hot sex (on camera) he doesn’t care what Amanda does and the returning player.
So why am I still watching? I am hoping Candy comes back and kicks everyone to the ground and when the whole shebang. Anyone who can carry off a clownytard like that gets my vote not to mention her fight with GM was awesome.
