Big Brother Season XI [edited title]

CBS’s Statement & Jesse’s interview at Entertainment Weekly. Did someone say Delusional?

No problem. I was particularly impressed with Natalie’s ruthless gameplay during all that drama. During the house meeting to humilate Michele, once Michele started to get pissed, she loudly asked about the Green Room lie and who started it. Without missing a beat Natalie started screaming at her “You’re a liar! Michele’s the liar! Michele’s the rat!” Natalie was going nuts and Jessie had to pull her back. This gambit successfully ended anyone trying to get to the bottom of the GRL, while further riling Russell up against Michele.

That confrontation, btw, was minutes after Jeff was told in DR that America voted him the Coup D’Etat power and exactly how it worked. So Jeff walks out of the DR all happy and nervous, straight into the house meeting shitstorm. Michele correctly read his body language that something was up, but incorrectly interpreted it to mean Jeff was working with Russell against her. This colored her interaction with Jeff during that blowup, which actually turned Jeff against her. Later that night Jeff was trying to convince Jordan that they had to cut Michele loose, but Jordan was firm that Michele was on their side.

This was maybe two days after the initial formation of the J/J/R/M alliance, so the GRL was an inspired effort and perfectly timed to topedo the lone fledgling threat to Jessie and his Manson Girls. If it weren’t for the fact that Michele has been clearly and unmistakeably [del]in love with[/del] crushing on Jeff since day 1, she would have guaranteed gone over to the evil side with Chima against Russell.

Justin from the 2nd season and Scott from the 4th season were kicked out. Justin had held a knife to Krista’s throat and Scott had thrown a chair after getting into an argument with his ex Amanda. Also, Neil from BB9 quit because of a family emergency.

I don’t know, I think he made some fair points toward the end. I especially liked how he went to bat for Russell, saying he never once thought Russell might lose it and get violent with anyone.

I have to confess that I didn’t hate Jessie. Since his eviction I now see that hatred I felt was mostly directed toward his harem; if he had initially aligned with Jeff, Jordan, Laura and Casey, Jessie would probably have been one of my favorites.

Jessie was clearly the brains behind his alliance, even when Russell was on board. The reason Jessie picked the alliance he did is obviously because he can’t handle emotionally stable and intelligent women. Why else would he have had such an immediate hatred of Laura and everyone aligned with her? Natalie, Lydia and Chima were ideal pawns for him to manipulate and send out to do his dirty work for him, as was Ronnie. All four venerated him as a god, so it would be asking too much for him to resist that temptation.

I can’t respect him for manipulating vulnerable women, but in the context of the game I thought he was an excellent player and sound strategist. He struck me as a male version of Michele. Only instead of hiding from people in the research lab, he overcame his painful past of humilation and social awkwardness in the gym. Good for him, I say.

Ruh-roh, accoring to recaps:
With Chima evicted Michele’s HoH is now over, everyone but Michele currently playing a new HoH as I type this. Chima’s tantrum means Michele only got 1 day as HoH, which appears to have bonded Russell closer to Michele as he sympathizes over the injustice.

Holy shit, please let it be an HoH challenge with the golf thing they were playing with last night. Lydia was good, Natalie was as inept with it as with the badminton and anything else she’s every tried, Russell was good, but Jeff was a friggin’ natural, easily pulling off any shot he tried.
Holy crap…Jordan won!

Sweet! Methinks Natalie’s days are numbered.

Anyone like to read recaps or actually have live feeds? It would seem WWIII broke out about an hour ago, rivaling any drama that has gone on before. Seriously, the whole house went friggin’ thermonuclear.

It’s too much to recap here, but if you want to savor the insanity, start with post 351 of the hamstertime live feed recap thread.

Yeah, I’ve been reading the “Live Feed” thread over on TWoP. At times like this, reading about the live feeds is much more entertaining than watching the actual show. If they stay true to form, the broadcast show will present only a little of the craziness of the last two days, ignoring most of the really juicy stuff and completely watering down what drama they do show. I’d consider paying for the live feeds, but from what I read they cut to a “Be Right Back” screen when a lot of the really good stuff happens.

What really annoys me is that they’ll leave out the good stuff, but will be sure to spend 10 minutes on their “Previously on Big Brother …” BS. Grrr.

FYI: CBS is delayed by golf tonight. Big Brother should start around 8:19pm Eastern.

OK, so WTF was that? They spend how many minutes showing Lydia’s fucking unicorn and Russell asking Jordan if she wants to go out with Jeff, but leave out the scenes of Jesse’s girls going apeshit?
If this show hadn’t already long ago jumped the shark, it most certainly did tonight.

The worst stuff happened after the nomination, and the regular schedule of events has nomination at the very end of the Sunday show. I do think (and everyone should tell their BB-watching friends this) that Tuesday’s show is going to be one to absolutely not miss.

I hope Lydia, Chima, and Natalie watch this show after they get out of that house and see themselves crying over Jessie and realize what a bunch of losers they are. That was just pathetic. Kevin’s facial expressions during that segment were hilarious!

Well, I wouldn’t want them to have given Michele’s HoH short shrift, and I definitely wanted to see the food competition, so if it were me editing I would have kept all but one segment’s worth of the broadcast they showed intact.

The Jeff and Jordon stuff was cute but old; either last week or the week before. That Lydia unicorn stuff looked super old. Put it this way: it’s probably been over a month since Jeff and Lydia have lounged around on a bed together. I can only assume this was filler, but IMO it was very much the wrong filler to use. They should have spent the unicorn segment showing the craziness of the Manson girls.

They did show a little of it though. Like how Chima was crying about how Jessie wasn’t going to put her up week 1. Give Chima credit for acknowledging her pathetic hypocrisy by admitting that oh yeah, he did put her up week 1. Lydia’s was every bit as bad but never acknowledged. She kept crying about how Jessie never had a chance to save himself by playing for PoV, while conveniently forgetting that she drew the last chip, got houseguest’s choice, and she didn’t pick Jessie to play. She picked Kevin, who won, and who then didn’t take her off the block. For this, Jeff is the bad guy. GAH!

All three really wallowed on that grave injustice of Jessie not being able to play for PoV. Those fucking nitwits. How about the two players they helped backdoor, and their plans to backdoor others? Hypocritical douchebags. Worst of all:Dumping all of Jeff’s clothes in the spilsh splash room and hiding Jeff’s Rosary were pretty low. In Chima’s defense, she thought it was Russell’s rosary, which she took because who’s he kidding pretending to be Catholic when he’s an extremist Muslim terrorist? Yes, she actually said that. Also hiding Russell’s hats that he wears during ceremonies and live shows, all three of them constantly running the washing machine all day and night so J/J/M/R can’t wash their clothes from that food challenge, pouring Michele’s HoH beers down the sink, nonstop screaming and yelling, and just basically being the bitchiest whiners ever to walk the earth.Anyway, I see Tuesday’s show being the converted HoH in lieu of PoV – it was originally a PoV challenge anyway – then the nomination ceremony instead of the PoV ceremony. Toss in the new HoH reveal and you still have almost half a show to dwell on the ejection.

Then Thursday can be a PoV contest plus ceremony then vote in place of the Fast Forward they already had planned, finishing with an endurance HoH. So I think they can still fit everything in; I’m willing to withhold criticism until we see what they they do.

Never having watched BB before, I can’t imagine this season being the shark jump; it’s been fucking awesome, IMO. Is BB always this riveting?

Who was it that said Jessie being voted out was like a family member dying? These people need involuntary commitment in a state psych ward.

It’s pretty much something like this every year. If you want real thrills, see if you can find some Dick Donato (Evil Dick) compilation reels. That guy put on a show.

Personally, I was most impressed by Dan from last season. He was good about staying above the fray, subtly maneuvering things in his favor, and garnering good will even with his enemies. He played the game like fiddle, it was beautiful to watch.

Houseguests outlined the schedule:
Nominations Monday
PoV competition Tuesday
PoV ceremony Wednesday

Looks like my guess of moving the PoV broadcast to Thursday’s show in place of the Fast Forward may be correct.
Did anyone else hear the voiceover at the end?

Something like, “Watch Monday when one houseguest has a meltdown and is removed from the house.” My money’s on Chima, though Lydia wouldn’t surprise me.

Just to note that they haven’t changed the schedule…the next ep is Tuesday night.
