Bike week comes to a close in NH

So bike week is over here in NH and the highway is starting to fill with motorists.

I got caught in one mess of gridlock while going to visit my parents. I tried to entertain myself in this 85 degree and high humidity weather as the traffic inched along (the only time I hate driving a manual). One thing I always notice with bike week is the number of bikes on trailers or in the back of trucks. I want to ask these people if they realize that one can, in fact, ride that motorcycle tied up in the truck/trailer. Now wouldn’t that be something (and fun)?

But no. Instead of a highway full of small vehicles getting 40+ mpg, it’s full of large trucks towing/carrying those small vehicles.

Oh well. It really doesn’t bother me that much but instead makes me chuckle about the absurdity.

Well, I’m going for a ride now myself. I think I’ll head west and hopefully avoid any of the above traffic.

Oh no, really? I’m not going to get much sleep then, given I see bike noise as purple flashes (I’m a sound-color synesthete, not crazy. or may not just…) and dozens go by my house at all hours at the end of every bike week. sigh.

You have a very good point.

I wish to hell cops would write up all of the douchebags thundering around NH roads 7 months of the year.
