Bill Clinton: Still a lying sack of shit; still getting a pass from journalists.

Yeah. Ever. Because when he takes over the world, his pot smoking lying ways will come back and bite us in the ass and we’ll all be sorry for not listening.

Seriously, who gives a fuck?

Exactly. Bill, I’m asking “Who gives a fuck, seriously. Stop lying. Nobody cares. Other than why still lie? We are trying to trot your old ass out at conventions and rallies, stop embarassing us with your stupidity.”

Politicians are lying scumbags.

And most of the time former Presidents are given a pass by the media. It wouldn’t suprise me if GWB gets the same kind of softball treatment in the future.

The problem here is you have a seemingly irrational hatred of Bill Clinton.

Ms Lincoln is the poster child for the revisionist, “centrist”, menshevik, “business friendly”, “third way” crapolapalooza that made over the Democratic party into Republican Lite.

Fuck that shit!

In short, Blanche Lincoln (D-Wal*Mart).

Don’t you mean (DINO-Wal*Mart)

About this? I don’t, particularly. Like I said, it is hard to work up any sense of shock or outrage that Clinton is doing what Clinton does.

The point being what I also already said - it isn’t so much about Clinton’s private life - it is the fact that he lied about, as mentioned, everything and anything. And when he got caught, he would go back and lie some more, just to keep his hand in. It just so happened that he got caught dead to rights perjuring himself in a sexual harassment case. When a public official is boffing the hired help, during business hours, the line between his private life and his public gets a little blurry.

But now, thanks be to a merciful God, he is no longer a public official. So his continued assault on the truth merits no more than a vaguely contemptuous “that lying sleazeball is a lying sleazeball”.

I don’t know about that part - hypocrisy seems to be one of the few bi-partisan issues nowadays. I seem to remember a good deal of “believe the woman” about Anita Hill that was conspicuously absent when it came to Juanita Broaderrick and Paula Jones and Kathy Wiley.

Who told?

Shodan

Nah, I don’t hate him at all, much less irrationally. I like to reserve my hate for people like Osama bin Laden and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and their ilk (well, them and Nancy Grace ;)).

Clinton just galls me, is all. He lies much more often, and in much more obvious ways, than any other politician I can think, even his wife (though I imagine that’s mostly due to his being in the public eye more).

And now, my barber is singing her siren song so I must bid this thread adieu. Perhaps now it can sink to the depths where it and its subject belong.

Imagine if your enthusiasm were directed against BIG lies— say, the ones that cause lots and lots and *lots *of people to be killed.

Or maybe this is just you starting off low and slow, in your newfound commitment to the truth? Always glad to have someone else on board, even a newbie…

I agree that he lied. I always knew that he lied. You had to be pretty ignorant not to know that he lied. On the other hand, it is a lie that has a surprisingly plausible angle. Anyone that has smoked pot  or been around people that smoke pot knows the myth that “you don’t get high the first time you smoke it.” While I have never personally witnessed this, I have certainly met people whom have claimed it happened to them. In general, this is suggested to be caused by inexperienced smokers not actually inhaling the smoke.

So while it is most likely that he tried to inhale, he may or may not have actually gotten high. In that case, he probably didn’t inhale.

Of course, now he is changing his story. I’m guessing he is changing his story mostly because he knows that, to the general public, it is entirely implausible that he didn’t inhale. Frankly, only people that have been around pot smokers would recognize that there is a distinctive plausibility to it.

So is he lying now, so that he can get rid of an absurd sounding fact that the general population finds ludicrous, or was he lying before, when politicians were pretty much required to distance them from any drug association whatsoever?

Only he knows, but I’ll bet most could care less. The next president elected had a clear and admitted drug history. We all knew that the politics of the time required Clinton to lie. Ronnies failed “War on Drugs” made sure of that. Most people, particularly the conservatives, assumed Clinton had lied.

This is not news. Only the conservatives playing gottcha politics think its newsworthy. They all deserve congratulations for pointing out the obvious.

Who pray tell, are the people, who keep asking him about it, or dredging it up? Why don’t they stop too?

“Ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer”
Way back “in the day”, I smoked some, and hell yeah I inhaled. I mean, what’s the point otherwise? That’s like sucking up a beer and spitting it out - almost heresy.
Does it matter now? No one cares, no one keeps asking me about it, no one keeps regurgitating it on The Dope.

Well if you read the OP, the people asking him about it are NBC and Tom fucking Brokaw of all people.

And you aren’t still lying about somethign so fucking stupid as to be fucking laughable. If you were, I’d call you out for being so fucking ridiculous about it. Of course you inhaled. Stop fucking lying. It’s stupid. I’m embarassed for you that you still feel the need to lie about it.

If Tom would actually introduce himself in that way with his voice, I might tune in just to hear it every night.

And Walter “I’ll put a cap in your ass punk” Kronkite would clean up on sweeps week.

Hell I’d tune in to that just to hear his voice from beyond.

I think he would clean up in sweeps week if he were to introduce himself in any way at all.

That distant echoey sound would add just the right something something I think.

Shut the hell up about Clinton.

He was a good president but kind of an abhorrent human being.

It’s only pot so who gives a shit?
