Under PA law, he must serve a minimum of 3 years before he is eligible for parole.
He will likely be released on bail pending appeal unless the judge has a specific concern about flight.

According to the New York Times, bail pending appeal was denied – not surprising, considering the “sexually violent predator” designation, since danger to the community is as much of a reason to deny bail as flight risk, plus the code you cited places bail entirely at the judge’s discretion for sentences over 2 years:

I would predict he dies there. I think the huge change in his life with be pretty hard for him at 80+.
I hope he isn’t going to a minimum security type place(not that those are a joke). I like the image of him in a cell being very bored.
I’m also not so sure his brand of humor will go over with prisoners, so his skillset probably isn’t well-suited for where he’s going.

Unfortunately, he’ll probably be fine. Convicts worship celebrities just as much as everyone else, and they’re less judgmental about them than we are.
He deserves to die NOW, but I’ll settle for him dying in prison. I can’t imagine anyone who has been raped thinking he deserves less than life in prison.
I to mourn that my childhood memories of his humor have forever been tainted.

I know he’s blind(at least in one eye). What other issues does he have?
The then-prosecutor (one of the world’s biggest d-bags, BTW) declined to bring charges over a decade ago. That paved the way for the civil suit, with the supposedly confidentiality agreement. His testimony from that suit was leaked & was used to convict him here.
His lawyer from then is long dead screwed up by not getting an immunity agreement in writing. IANAL but I know enough not to testify if it could be used against me.
I’m not saying he didn’t do it (his own words said he did) but the prosecution shouldn’t have gotten a second crack at this case after declining it many years ago.
