Oh, I think most Latinists would slot ‘Hitler’ into ‘second declension masculine in -er’. To wit:

Hitler
Hitlerī
Hitlerō
Hitlerum
Hitlerō

This would of course be one of those nouns whose meaning changes in the plural. In this case, Hitlerī would be a collective term for people whose opinions differ from the speaker’s own.

I’ve never actually seen anything but the vocative used with avē, but there is a logic to it. I have once seen a second declension in -er use -ere to form the vocative, in a book called Plautus in Comics, but I have assurances from Tunberg & Minkova that this is definitely not cricket. Now that I’ve bored all the squares shitless with the above, the message to the rest is as follows: the party is at Speedo’s “house”, toga optional, own bottle and dice essential.

I haven’t listened to O’Reilly all that much but he is a very intelligent person by all accounts and also quite personable when off the air. Those topics sound like legitimate things to bring up to me at least. The Obama camp probably thought so too otherwise they wouldn’t have agreed to go on the air with him. It isn’t a secret what O’Reilly’s general tactics or strategy are.

He is a lot easier to take once you realize he is just a really good actor playing a particular persona rather than someone that really holds those core positions. He does to a degree but it really is his job to play it up and be an interviewer representing the ultra-conservative side.

A Year after the next election for president will tell a lot. Conservatives will still be blame g President for their situation. Fox will have no one to talk about. Now I can tell in advance that what ever President Obama says or does will be criticized. Had G W Bush caught Osama bin Laden they would have raved about the deed, but found things they thought they could use against President Obama.
