Billy Crystal's LOTR Parody Lyrics

My daughter is trying to figure out all of Billy Crystal’s lyrics from the Academy Awards song he sang about LOTR to “My Favorite Things.” We’ve figured out most of them, except for the ones in bold below:

Hobbits with feet big
all hairy and smelly
More epic battles than Destin Minelli(?)
Ian and Vigo, a Queen and some Kings
This is the gang in the Lord of the Rings

Lithium, saki, some pills and peyote
Moonshine and Britain (?) from Truman Capote
J.R.R. Tolkien was taking these things
When he conceived of the Lord of the Rings

Can someone more knowledgeable and literate help me with these references?

Thanks

Gest and Minelli.

David Gest and Liza Minelli. Gest accusses Minelli physically abused him in their marriage.

Moonshine and Ritalin from Truman Capote

Ritalin is a medication prescribed for individuals (usually children) who have an abnormally high level of activity or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). And the late author Truman Capote was a pill-popper.

You have it taped? Care to post a video clip of that “Return of the Host” montage?

Viggo has two Gs. Just to be a pest.

Thanks, everyone!

pugluvr, while I did tape the Oscars, I have no clue how to post a video clip–I’m both culturally and technologically inept.

BuckleberryFerry, one cannot be too picky about LOTR details, at least at my house. My daughter is a real fanatic–has her name tatooed on her ankle in Elvish. I was so busy getting the lyrics right, I hadn’t even looked at spelling. Viggo now has his proper consonants.

I could post all the lyrics, but wasn’t sure if that would violate SDMB policies.

Of course my favorite lyric was “then Gollem pops out like the right boob of Janet”.

Ooooohhhh…how does one find out what their name is in Elvish? :ivylass, bouncing up and down in excitement:

The information in the appendices of The Lord of the Rings should be sufficient to allow you to write your name in Elvish.

There are some great websites, too. Tonight when my daughter gets home from orchestra practice, she’ll help me post them here.
