Hi Mystic 7
Good on you for being open minded enough to search for the truth and to endeavor to think for yourself rather than just believe anything people tell you.
TJ is a great piece of work and the true original bible so to speak.

An answer that completely fails to answer the question that was asked.
Hi Consensus
“I honestly don’t think ET has anything to offer that we cannot, in time, figure out for ourselves”
Well we aren’t doing a very good job at that
One has only to simply look around and see the utter chaos replete in our society to know that we cannot solve our own problems right now.
Just take into consideration the enormous destruction we have caused to this planet and our biosphere with so much air, soil, sea and space pollution all in the name of greedy profits for the few at the expense of the majority.
Look at our political and economic system that is already well into collapse.
Look at all the perpetual war mongering for profit with tens of thousands killed unnecessarily.
Look at what is happening to people rights which is continually eroding.
Look at the police state and the never ending surveillance and violation of people’s privacy.
Look at the sad state of the education system where our children are being dumb downed.
Look at the shitty polluted foods that are on the selves of supermarkets where people are left with little choices in terms of buying fresh wholesome and nutritious foods that are actually good for them and the repugnant laws being passed to make illegal for people to grow their own food.
Look at the rubbish on TV being constantly bombarded on the unsuspecting masses which is designed to create consumer cows and take people’s attention away from the real issues that truly matter to them.
Look at all the psyops by the military and secret service against their own citizens.
Look at the irrational military budget which is rising each year on the pretext of the fraudulent war on terror where the big corporation reaps all the benefit at the expense of the well being of the citizens where those monies could’ve been spent on the more important domestic programs like education, crumbling roads and bridges, healthcare, cleaner waters, dilapidated railroads and the electrical grid.
The list goes on my friend

This whole thread is full of comments by people who want to believe so badly that they are willing to ignore logic, evidence, the scientific method, and the large accumulated body of proven facts.

Hi Gary how right you are
Billy Meier’s advise to people to not just believe but to think for oneself should not be lost on people
Consensus to your 3 points I would like to add
point 1) No he is not lying this is all based on evidence and proof beyond reasonable doubt
point 2) No he isn’t delusional, matter of fact he is actually a genius not recognised by most people and this doesn’t come down to a matter of belief but rather a independently verified conclusion after painstaking research based on proof and evidence from both sides of the argument.
pont 3) Whether you believe in reincarnation or not we simply can’t prove either way at the moment but given the context of this enormous breath and scope of the information pertaining to and coming from Billy and from independent scientific knowledge of our day, it may in fact be more probable than impossible for reincarnation to be an absolutely real thing
And no he never said he was reincarnation of Jesus Christ
Hi Smeghead
The question posed was
‘I assume that’s as authentic as can possibly be. Are you disputing that’?
Now it isn’t clear what he is referring to when he states ‘that’s as authentic as can possibly be’
What is
What is he asking when he asks ‘are you disputing that’?
Can you answer this kind of question yourself smeghead?
newinitiation, after examination by numerous parties here over many years, I think I can speak for most to say that Billy Meier is a delusional crank. A second opinion would be he is a raving lunatic with a wild imagination. Anything else would be far less kind.
He isn’t the only one in this universe. He has plenty of company, but that doesn’t make him any more right.
He posted a direct quote, in context, that supports his argument that this guy is a wingbat, a con artist, or both. Are you disputing that the quote is direct and in context?
“but I would rather have an active curiosity driving me to learn then to dismiss anything on face value.”
You might want to reconsider your peculiar definition of the word “learn”. You are being offered plenty of learning here.
You missed the point. Billy Meier is offering science fiction, backed by no logic, ignoring the scientific method, and supported by no actual evidence.
Sounds like a fine example of Ockham’s Duct Tape – the principle where the addition of ever more unsupported conjectures is seen as lending support to an interpretation.
In other words, adding more horseshit to the pile isn’t going to create that pony you’re looking for.
The question was this: “I directly quoted this statement from Meier’s website. This seems like a good reason to believe that the statement is authoritative - that is, we can reasonably assume that this statement accurately reflects Meier’s beliefs. Do you disagree with this assessment?”
That is a perfectly straightforward, simple to understand question. Your professed bafflement as to what it is supposed to mean is disingenuous and difficult to believe.
To answer the question you posed to me (something that you have so far failed to do in your own turn), my answer is yes. If that question had been asked of me, I could very very easily answer it.
And yet when we do think for ourselves and come to the conclusion that Billy Meier is either delusional, simpleminded, or a lying conman - because we have gone to his site and read materials there - your only response is tell us that we’re wrong and that your thinking on the subject is better.
That’s called trying to have it both ways, and everyone who can think for themselves understands that never works.
Are there any patterns of behavior that can help us resolve this? In fact, yes, there is one glaring one.
Neither you nor mystic7 nor TheBodhi ever tell us anything directly. You don’t provide evidence, you don’t make arguments, you don’t summarize positions. Instead, you work very hard to steer us to Meier’s site. And on Meier’s home page there are numerous offers to buy his books, purchase his CDs and DVDs, join his group for an annual fee, or just shovel in money for nothing via donations.
That is how lying conmen work, and we have far many more tangible examples of those tactics than Meier has authentic UFO photos to guide our thinking.
Therefore my considered opinion, based on evidence you yourself have provided me, is that Meier is a fake and his followers are delusional, except for those who are in on the scam and profit by it.
Right. Objectively, which is more likely, the possibility that this guy joins a loooong list of con artists (pictures of fairies in the garden, anyone?), or legit. There have been uncountable examples of cons in the human experience, therefore we know this is a frequent occurance.
Solid evidence of extraterrestials visiting and speaking only to ‘chosen others’, but not me, not so much.
But where is you evidence?
Exapno in a court of law you must hear bth sides of the srgument before the judge rules either way but what have you read on Billy Meier for you to come to your conclusion?
Could it be you prejudice?
Evidence of what? Non-existence of aliens? Got lots of that – just look out the window. Do you see any?
Smeghead what have you quoted directly from Billy Meier’s words I can’t see it
trubank there are a lot of cons but what can you provide as irrefutable evidence to the contrary?
