A sorta Skald-like hypothetical. You have done a favor for Pan, one of the deities of Gluttony. As a reward, Pan lets you pick three snack foods that from now on, you can eat all you want without worry; you won’t have a care about the calories or sodium content or fat content. Yes, you may fell full, but never bloated and even the full feeling will pass quickly. No deleterious health effects at all.
Now, Pan is a nice guy but he is kinda chaotic, so no picking real foods like a 24 oz porterhouse steak- Pan knows and you know that not a “snack” food.
of course pan will toss in a beverage or 3, but that comes later.
So, what three snack foods would you like to binge on guilt free?
To start off I picked:
Good movie theatre popcorn with extra butter
donuts
(I’ll make my third choice later)
When I go to the supermarket, I buy a pint of butter pecan ice cream, and eat it outside the store before I walk home. That’s my lunch that day. I have eaten a quart, but not recently. Sometimes I go in the credit union across the street for a cuppa their designer coffee to wash it down.
The cover the salty, I’ll go with Ritz crackers with Merkt’s sharp cheddar spread or possibly with braunschweiger, or Old Country Limburger Cheese spread. Would it be cheating if I said Ritz crackers with braunschweiger and limburger spread?
To cover the ethnic, Mumbai vada pav. They’re like vegetarian sliders, but so much better!
How does Pan feel about ice cream? Because if ice cream’s a go, I really don’t need the other two. I’d be willing to take it in some kind of 'sicle or bonbon form.
Ice cream is obviously going to be on the list, along with either cake or pie. Beyond that? Maybe chocolate candy (or all candy depending on how widely we can define things).
