Movie popcorn with lots of butter
Beef jerky
Taco Doritos with chive dip
Plain popcorn—the healthiest snack food in the world!
Apples—the other healthiest snack food in the world!
Dark chocolate—hey, it won’t kill you!
Dark chocolate- “in moderation”, actually good for you. But of course Pan hates “moderation”.
Good choices, I may add jerky to mine. Have you tried bacon jerky?
The whole point of this exercise is that you’re going to be allowed to indulge without the unhealthy side effects. (The OP says, “three snack foods that from now on, you can eat all you want without worry; you won’t have a care about the calories or sodium content or fat content. Yes, you may fell full, but never bloated and even the full feeling will pass quickly. No deleterious health effects at all.”) So there’s no point in picking snack foods that are already relatively healthy.
Unless that is what she likes. A nice crisp apple with a little dark chocolate is a wonderful snack.
But yes, this is 100% guilt-free.
I wondered the same thing. Wet donuts do not sound particularly tasty!
Bacon jerky tastes like bacon that isn’t quite done cooking yet. I don’t mind chewy parts on my bacon, but at least some of it has to be crispy, or it ruins a lot of the appeal. Still, bacon jerky is better than a lot of other foods. Just not better than crispy, cooked bacon.
I suppose they mean yeast donuts. It took me until very recently to stop and think “I call non-cake donuts ‘glazed donuts’, but a lot of cake donuts are also glazed, so what actually is the correct term for ‘non-cake’ donuts?” Turns out “yeast” is what I was looking for.
The wikipedia page on donuts is surprisingly comprehensive (“molecular composition”? “dough rheology”??), but I still can’t figure out whether the original donuts were the yeast or cake variety.
This has been an episode of DrCube’s Donut Distraction.
Anyway, my list is going to be brownies, cookies, and ice cream. Go big or go home.
Jarred antipasto on saltines (I’ve eaten an entire jar in one sitting).
Jalapeno poppers
Sushi or Bibimbap.
Yes! It’s really really good! Of course, I’ve never met a bacon anything that wasn’t…
Stacy’s pita chips
sweeTARTS
pistachios in the shell
Bacon jerky costs a LOT, I find a package of pre-cooked bacon is about the same taste wise, but at half the cost.
It’s just what I like, you’re right. I developed a taste for those before encountering Pan, just because they are healthy. Maybe I’d swap out coconut granola made with almonds, cashews, and maple syrup for the popcorn, on second thought.
