bird droppings

sorry I’m a link virgin but Cecils newest column talks about differing names for animal poop.
My son insists bird droppings (any bird, I guess) are called squat.
Is this so, or something he was told at recess?

Link to Cecil’s column:
Is it true every type of animal dropping has its own name?

Well, squat is a word with the meaning of excrement in general, but I’ve never heard it applied specifically to that of birds. Probably because they don’t squat to produce it.
Cecil produced a number of unusual non-excrement terms related to animals. Add to his list suint sheep sweat.

I was surprised Cecil didn’t include the excited churchgoers who experience speaking in dungs.
